These are the most important dates to look in 2012:

Minor solar flares: 29 Feb or 25 March (+- 10 days) (27.2 day cycle)

Significant world event (unknown yet): 22 March (+- 12 days) (Sun in Aries)

Major earthquakes: 22 March and 28 Sept (a 189 day cycle)

Larger solar flare: 21 April or 18 May (+- 10 days) (a 190 day cycle)

Revolution/revolt makes headlines: 28 June (+- 20 days) (Jupiter in Gemini)

War: 24 November (+- 7 days) (Mars in Capricorn)

Let's see how much can we predict the future based on cycles!

The event of late March is based in transiting Sun triggering the cardinal square. The event of late June is based in tramsiting Mars triggering the cardinal square, while Jupiter enters Gemini (a pattern often seen in revolutions, but the pattern is even better in June 2013). The late November event is based in Mars entering Capricorn, while triggering the cardinal square (wars often start with Mars in Capricorn and some major outer planet aspect going on at that time; that pattern will repeat in October 2014). The solar flare events is based in cycles of 27.2 days repeating between larger solar storms, especially in multiples 6x, 7x or 8x of 27.2 days. One larger event can happen in April or May, and another in November or December this year. The 189 day cycle also seems to happen between larger earthquakes, next around 22nd March.

Between 28 June and 3 July, and still extending towards the 18 July, there will be a lot of action as several planets trigger the powerful and intense square between Uranus and Pluto. This is for sure a big crises!

28 June 2012: big crises affecting most world powers?

Everything seems to start slowly by 11th June, as Mercury triggers the cardinal square between Uranus and Pluto. By 21st, the Sun crosses the Cancer cusp and by 28th it triggers now the cardinal square, while Mars is just crossing the Libra cardinal cusp! This climax occurs between late June and early July. But Mars still triggers in the days around 17th July the cardinal square.

This seems to show a BIG CRISES in JUNE and JULY 2012. I think this is something that affects greatly the world powers, and could be some mass unrest in cities, but also something related to Iran and the oil crises, or also Greece leaving the Euro. The dates of 7th, 13th, 28th June, and 3rd, 10th and 18th July, are possible dates for the sudden start of events (as the Moon transits cardinal signs).

I see another period with some energy and significant world events by late March and early April 2012. If something happens then, I expect that to grow and develop much larger by June and July, otherwise if nothing seems to happen, watch for clues and developments of what might occur in June or July, during that period in late March. It could be well linked to the socio-economic crises, or with some war.

24 November 2012: a new war?

Then, by late November is either a likely collapse of the Euro crises or the definitive start of Iran war. I don't mean it for 100% sure, but it is very likely. Hopefully I will be wrong! It is the period between the 17th and 24th November 2012, or perhaps slighty earlier.

Yes I know, I am giving wild bets on these dates. I want to be a little bit more daring and not only pinpoint the month where real action will happen, but I want to pinpoint even the exact day where things start. I want to perfect the predictory skills of mundane astrology.

What will happen in 2012! Predictions for a large revolt in July, large war in November, and more

To put it very simple, it is in 2012 that the first big events start, that will become much more intense by late 2013 and 2014, and develop over the rest of the decade.

2012 is the definitive end of the world as we know it, not by disasters but by a decaying world order, and that "end of the world" continues afterwards. It will be a bolt year, and exciting, with plenty of events happening, shocking and creating revolution around the world.

I am not sure yet if the two big events I predict will start in 2012 or 2013 - they will be happening in 2013 - but we will see the very beginnings of them, in July 2012 and November 2012.

Revolt, large social unrest event in July 2012
2012 will include probably the first full blown REVOLT and dramatic social unrest in a FIRST WORLD COUNTRY. This is likely to happen most in late June, July or August, when Mars transits Libra and Jupiter enters Gemini. This large event could even be a revolution or near civil war. It will be the first event happening outside of the developing world, and in a developed country. It will be most likely in Europe (my first guess goes for Italy or Greece) but it could happen in another major power. Second most likely possibilities include Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and India; and less likely in China, Germany, Canada, France, Israel, US and UK. At least there should be one large social unrest event in one developed countries making headlines for days. Something like a May 68 or similar to the events of 89. If the event is not happening in July 2012, then watch definitively for December 2012 and the spring of 2013. You may be interested in reading a detailed post here. Large war in November 2012
I also expect 2012 to have a more significant WAR, most likely Iran (but could be also in Pakistan or the Koreas, or even a ex-Soviet country). I expect this to most likely happen by late November and December 2012, when Mars transits Capricorn. If it starts earlier, then it might start around July, when Mars transits Libra. It will likely involve the US, and somewhat Russia, Germany and the UK (because its natal chart shows dramatic challenges). And even if the war occurs in a single country, there will be surely unrest in Iran, India, Pakistan and Korea making headlines (because all these countries have their natal charts affected). Most likely this event will damage further the global economy. If it's Iran it will seriously affect oil trade, triggering another major economic meltdown. More energetic dates include November 17th and November 23-29th.

Economy meltdown
It will become worse, that's the most certain thing to predict. If the Euro will crash, I think at least we will see the first events that lead to a large unrest and depression by 2014. There is a growing recession in 2012 and it only becomes worse in 2013. So it is very likely that either one country exits the Euro or becomes bankrupt. I still don't know if the currencies will hold, but there is a huge effort by the ones in the power to control this process. But by July the masses, the populations will begin to seriously challenge this control, clashing in revolts and protests. This world "crash" will never be sudden, it will be more a series of small crashes, one after the other. As we are experiencing now. And its worse point is somewhere around 2016 to 2019.

As September ends...
There is another significant highly charged period, when Mercury and a Full Moon oppose Uranus and square Pluto in late September 21-29th. It could be nothing, or it could be related to one of the other events (my guess goes for general unrest and economy affected). Tension will be in the air.

Most affected countries
I expect one of the following COUNTRIES to make bigger headlines: Italy, Turkey, India and China. Also there might be growing unrest in Russia, Ukraine, Japan, Canada, Ecuador and Spain. More likely towards 2013 in UK, US, Australia, Germany and Israel. Look for more details here.

Solar storms in April-May or November-December
If some SOLAR STORM happens, they will be most likely occur by 16-21 Apr 2012 or 13-18 May 2012, 21-26 Nov 2012 or 18-23 Dec 2012 (see my post here). At least one of these it will be strong enough to be seen from mid latitudes, the largest so far since several years. But I don't want to be much importance to this prediction, as it's the first time I try to predict solar storms. However, we do see the possible cycle of solar storms hitting key dates of 2012, around April and late November.

Natural disaster events
There is another period I haven't spoke about: late March 2012 to early April 2012 (around 25 March to 15 April, but also around 10th March). This is due to cardinal energy (Sun in Aries) and Mars opposing Neptune. It could be something. Most probably something negative and destructive, if it happens. I am still unsure about it, so I also don't wish to give much importance to what may happen around this period.

Big individuals
As usual also with Uranus in Aries I expect historical leaders to arise now. For the best and the worse. And also inspiring revolutionary individuals. Both in politics, religion and science. People will be much more bolt and daring in the next years!

Big inventions, discoveries
Finally, 2012 will have also its share of historical scientific and technological advances. This is typical of Uranus in Aries. I expect most of them to come from huge discoveries in Physics, also discoveries relating to our place in the Universe (maybe something like extrasolar planets), possibly something else about our DNA, and big advances in energy and transportation.

Reviewing my 2011 predictions: I got 57% of predicted dates with something big happening

The most important events of 2011 were: February (Arab Spring revolutions), March 11 (Japan earthquake and tsunami, with nuclear disaster in following week), March 19 (start of Libyan war), UK riots (6-10 August), and along the entire year the Euro crises, Occupy protests and the Syrian civil war.

My predictions for 2011 (you can read them here) had the most key dates around 10 and 18-21 March (it was the Japanese disaster and Libya war), 2-4 and 18-22 April (nothing happened), 17-21 Jun (nothing happened), 3-11 August (the UK riots), 24-26 September (nothing happened). An overall 57% of the predicted dates had some historical event happening.

In March, I was right about the dates around 10th and 18-21st, when the Japanese disaster happened. I even said " At least, we will see some DISRUPTIONS for large groups of people".

I predicted a major war in April, when indeed the Libya war started in late March, so it was a good hit. I said "March is the start of agressive energies" and "April continues the same mood, agressive, dynamic. This could feature the most likely start of a major CONFLICT"

I also made a bolt prediction that "July might well be the PROTEST/RIOT month", I was close to a perfect hit, but early August was the month of the dramaric UK riots. Anyway, there were plenty of social unrest along the year, as I have been predicting for several years.

But I want to be honest and if you read my post on the predictions for 2011, we will see also some failed predictions. Obviously it is impossible to get 100% correct predictions!

Moon transiting ASC and irritation / depression

This is one I am trying to grasp why.

I have a Capricorn 12th house and Aquarius 1st house.

Most of the times I have irritation (and usually I am a calm person) is when the Moon is transiting my first house, and also on those months when Mars or the Sun transits the first house (havign Aquarius rising, this occurs in February).

Since 2000, I have had irritation nearly every time Mars transited my first house (Jan 2000, Dec 2001, Aug 2003, May 2005, Apr 2007, Apr 2009 and Feb 2011.

Several irritation days have also occurred as the Sun transited my first house in Feb 2004, Feb 2006, Feb 2008, Feb 2009 and Feb 2011. This is about half of the February months!

Often, it has also resulted in clashes and conflicts, even break-ups, and in a few lucky ocasions, in impulsiveness to take decisive steps forward in my life.

Then, it is interesting to state that my only big depression on my life, when I was 18, was as Uranus entered my first house (but Saturn was also entering the fourth house at that time).

Finally, the Moon transits. I had often seen that depression tended to come when the Moon transited Aquarius and Pisces, at my first house. This year, I noted I have irritation and even depression in several ocasions when the Moon transited the first house (2 Feb, 27 Feb, obviously the February month, but there were also many other irritation days on that month, 20 May, a major irritation on 21 Jun which resulted on a big step forward in my job, 14 Jul a depression, 1 Dec depression, 24 Dec, 28 Dec).

Curiously I noted that these difficult Moon days tend to occur as the Sun transited angles, as in February (after crossing the ASC), May (in fourth house), July (just before crossing the DSC) and December (after crossing MC). Besides the first house, they also tend to occur when the Moon transits other water houses or the sixth house, on those months.

Now that I got the pattern, I ask why? Sometimes it is good because it triggers me to take decisise steps, but often this extra energy is trouble. What do I do with it? How? Why does it happen? There is no point in being able to predict when it is going to happen, if I cannot learn how to best deal with it!

I guess this is a question of duality, of life itself and why the Universe was created. In fact, God, the Creator not only created the Universe to manifest and experience itself, but it also created duality, a big illusion, so that every soul can experience one thing as opposed to another (good versus bad, warm versus cold...).

Do we have free will? Certainly there is a fate when the Moon transits angles it triggers a burst of energy, where we feel impulsive, depressed, irritated, more prone to take decisise steps forward. So, the energy is there. There is no hidding, there is nothing else we can do to bury it; I should not avoid being energetic when the Moon transits my 1st house, that's just the way it is. The key is deciding how to use that extra energy in the best light - that is my free-will. Or at least it seems. I believe than when we transcend duality, we transcend this problem of knowing how to behave in those days; there is no struggle, no duality.

But i assume the purpose of the Universe, the Creator, is to have experiencing one thing as opposed to another: creative and individualistic and impulsive energy (first house) as opposed to the interconnected peaceful but potentially lazy and melancholy energy of the twelfth house. And so on, at every angle.

Uranus entry to Aries (analysis of its ingress) and how it will be the next 84 years!

I did a chart for the last time Uranus ingressed in Aries, in the end of March of 1927, to see how it set the trend for the rest of the Uranus transit in Aries, Taurus and Gemini, and actually for the next 84 years.

From 1927 to 2010

Interestingly, we have a chart with a 15º Libra Ascendant, but with Sun opposite in Aries (meaning probably war between nations - its the seventh house). But Libra also featured the formation and breaking of alliances and the diplomacy efforts that marked most of the second World War and the following 45 years of Cold War, the United Nations and European Union. Uranus features close to conjunction with the Moon in sixth house, meaning a practical crises (but probably also the high degree of invention that followed the world war), that crises which exploded as Uranus, Saturn and Pluto transited the angles of this chart in the mid 1930s. Pluto near the MC meant the powerful leaders of the 20th century, especially during the thirties: Hitler, Stalin and then the Plutocracies that followed: a globalized world with powerful elites ruling, hidden behind the scenes. This is a clear manifestation of governments symbolized by Pluto. Mars in 9th house (as well as the Moon in Pisces) meant that ideology and the fight for freedom would rule the rest of the 20th century, as it did. It also means a path behind limits, with space exploration, scientific advances and a globalized world. Neptune in 11th, it means once again a globalized world, and the idealization of science, freedom, democracy and an united world. Venus in 8th house I think it is related to the wealth being in the hand of multinational corporations in the 20th century.

And once again, as outer planets began transiting these angles, we have another world crises and it's time to make a chart for the next 84 years.

From 2010 to 2094!

The ingress of Uranus in late May 2010, features now a Full Moon, Moon in Sagittarius and Sun in Gemini. This seems like the rest of 21st century with the quest for knowledge and communication, and the global village, as a main theme. I expect much more! Not only the internet, but space travel, alien contact, and spiritual advances in knowledge. On a negative note, the Moon in Sagittarius may mean a bit of religious extremism over the next decade and the rest of the century.

Uranus in 11th house and Neptune in 10th, means something entirely different! Neptune in 1oth means governments suffering a great dissolution, or even coalescing into a single entity (Neptune means unity after all). This is the end of the Plutocracies and hidden powers that be from the 20th century. It also means religious or high ideals ruling the world. Uranus in 11th means a revolutionary strike, and being your own. I think over the 21st century, the ideals will tend to be much more down to the individual rather than the masses. They will be unique for each person. I also suspect that the next decade will have a lot of uprisings and revolutions, and governments disappearing. Until a new world order. And because the ASC is around 10º Gemini, this means that those revolutions might occur during the 2020s.

Mercury over the 12th means a bit of introspective in the 21st century in relation to the 20th century. Sun in 1st house means a wholy new direction for mankind, almost a new identity, and it's related to knowledge. Mars in 3rd house means travel and communication again as high themes (even very fast travel!), and Venus in 2nd house might mean that eventually, sooner or later, some financial and material peace will be achieved. But the presence of Mars and Saturn near the fourth house, means that there will be a great huge challenge in individual nations, a great deal of reform and unrest, and this might come over the form of wars, civil conflicts, even countries disappearing and dealing with outstanding problems (such happened recently with Japan and Greece).

Predicting next 3 months of our lives, based on ingresses

Every solstice and equinoxes, we have a preview how it will be the next 3 months (or 12 months in case of the spring echinox). What happens during those days, what kind of projected goals and emotions, determines a little bit the general mood and atmosphere of the following trimester.

So, one can cast a chart showing our transits at the moment of the solstice/echinox for further detail. Obviously, the outer planets transits define ongoing affairs and challenges, but what is more interesting is that the location in house of the transiting Moon, Mars (and to a less degree of Venus and Mercury) help defining a big part of what it will be the next 3 months!

For example, if I have a Moon transiting my sixth house, I can expect a lot of work demands over the next 3 months, and if I have Mars transiting over my Ascendant, I can expect a sort of personal crises related to the direction of my living and self identity.

I was looking at the ingresses I had over the last 11 years, and all of them made terrible sense. It kind of defines the general atmosphere and themes for the next 3 months. And the March echinox even defines the general picture of the rest of the year!

So, go look of what transits you were having over the last solstice, in 22th December, 5:00 UTC.

How will the current world crises develop, year by year, until 2020

Today I was calculating in detail when is this period of crises going to bottom down.

The answer is between 2017 and 2020.

There is a deepening of this crises between 2012 (or 2013) and 2016.

The very beginning of this next stage of the crises seems to be around June 2012 but more clearly as as 2013 goes by.

It seems to develop gradually but much more intense after November 2013 and March 2014.

It will be a difficult time for most western nations around 2014 and 2015.

The natal Sun, Moon or Angles of many nations will be affected by the powerful square of Uranus in mid Aries and Pluto in mid Capricorn. Just like it happened during the thirties.

Then, comes 2017 and the drama seems to hit the most destructive and transformation phase. This occurs until the very end of the decade. Between September 2019 and March 2020, there seems to be an event which has massive consequences and changes much.

The intensity of these events is first similar to the scale of the Great Depression but then progresses closer to near world war (but apparently never becoming as dramatic as WWII).

These events will likely be related to economic meltdown, widespread social unrest, wars, and possibility of violent uprisings and civil conflicts.

At the moment we speculate two scenarios. One is that the Euro debt crises continues and triggers a second and much complicate global meltdown. Somehow the core of Europe and US will be affected by 2014. This causes possibly popular revolts and even civil conflicts by 2016, and progressing into something major by 2019 (much chaos involved).

The other scenario is that a war happens in Iran, but creates a situation out of control, related to widespread war, oil crises, involvement with Russia, possibly even with the use of nukes. The situation becomes a messy drama by 2014, and might reach the worse by 2019; it could even be close to a full scale world war in the late part of the decade.

There is also the change of less likely scenario of other unpredictable events; I think single acts by people that cause great social consequences, use of unforeseen weapons or technology, beginning of movements of mass prosecution and genocide, charismatic leaders causing mass protests... All this dense stuff can happen as often does during transits of Uranus in Aries

After the event around 2019, recovery and hope seems to develop again. By 2025 the collective mood will probably be positive, similar to the scale of globalization and technological advance of the nineties. However, there might still be social revolutions, uprisings and wars, going on, but in a way, things will be going into a constructive direction, with a new world order.

Strangely, there is a cycle relating to American Revolution and Civil War that seems to occur again in 2028, I think this might be the dissolution of the current union of the United States, and maybe even Europe, to form something new.

These predictions are related to the amount of waxing and waning cycles of outer planets. In the nineties, many cycles were waxing and so there was a global wave of positiveness, expansion, globalization and easiness. This reached maximum in a period between June 2000 and June 2001. At that time, Saturn was opposing Pluto, changing completely the balance of power, just as the terrorist attacks of 911 were about to happen.

After 2001, many cycles gradually turn negative. Jupiter also opposed Pluto in 2001, opposed Neptune in 2003, opposed Uranus in 2004, and Saturn opposed Neptune in 2006. This was mostly during Bush years, where optimism (Jupiter) was being lost. However, Jupiter started to make waxing cycles in 2007, so optimism developed again.

Comes 2008, and Saturn opposed Uranus, and a global meltdown happened, just as Saturn was also making a waning square to Pluto, and Uranus making a waxing square to Pluto, making a difficult T-square, but not as destructive as during the Great Depression (because of one waxing square).

Currently, as we have Jupiter opposing Saturn, hence the start a new wave of developing pessimism and loss of hope (this is the first of several Jupiter waning cycles over the next years). More important is the fact that now Saturn is on waning cycle to all outer planets, meaning a full destruction of social structures from now onwards. I can expect a worsening of the crises that started in 2008.

In late 2013, Jupiter opposes Pluto, it opposes Neptune in mid 2015, and Uranus in mid 2017. We will have then all cycles in waning mode (pessimism, destruction) except those of Neptune/Pluto, Uranus/Pluto, and Uranus/Neptune. This is very important to reflect upon. It is here when the maximum destruction will happen but not as catastrophic as we might fear.

During the WWII; every cycle was negative except Neptune/Pluto - the industrialization of society and idealism in governments. In fact, capitalism and industrialism was probably we only thing that survived after the war. Everything else was seemingly destroyed. Like social structures, governments, alliance between nations, jobs and entire families.

However in 2017-2020, the same destruction will happen, but with two cycles less.

In the sixties Uranus/Pluto started a new revolutionary trend of libertarian values and minorities. And in the nineties a new Uranus/Neptune cycle which relates to mass technologies and communications (the internet, personal computers and mobile phones).

I predict that, in the near future, everything in society will be destroyed except our technological world, libertarian values and industrial capitalist model, and the idea of a need for a globalized world. At least, Google will be saved (lol).

This also makes me see that essentially a third World War cannot happen, because the degree of destruction must astrologically be smaller than during WWII. No full scale nuclear war can happen, but a small regional regional war might. Also a conventional world war can happen, but on a smaller scale than WWII.

Alternatively, we could expect a wave of social uprisings that increase to a widespread series of civil wars, kind of a world on civil wars. It could be between governments and the masses, religions, or political backgrounds.

I am not sure about what scenario will play out.

Whatever happens it will be one of the biggest catalyst to bring forward a new global order, and a wave of social revolutions. The shifting point happens in 2020, and last for about 10 years after.

In 2020, a series of conjunctions will start, first Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto, then in 2025 Saturn/Neptune and Saturn/Uranus in 2030. This seems to be a new balance of power and governments in 2020*, a new idealism and hopes in 2025**, and a new economical model and world order that grows and expands after 2030***.

* Saturn/Pluto conjunctions have occurred before in 1948, 1980, next in 2020, during periods of conflict and tension, and have related to shifts in power balances around the world. This will surely happen during and after the event in 2020, and will relate to countries like US, Europe, China, Russia, Israel and the Arab world.

** Saturn/Neptune conjunctions have occurred in 1918, 1953, 1990, next in 2025, and have brought a new optimism forward, also new idealism. Social revolutions can happen at this time too, as well as pandemics.

*** Saturn/Uranus conjunctions have occurred in 1940, 1990, next in 2030, periods after which a new world order is established. As it was after the sixties that the communism world start falling until the nineties, now we can speculate that some parts of the western world could start falling until a final end around 2030. Surely, this will be the start of a new globalized world as it was after the world war and after 1990.

By 2017, the waning cycles seem to predict a very difficult time, just like it happened at the beginning of WWII. By 2019-2020, there is a significant conjunction involving Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, in Capricorn.

What will happen in the next years (2012-2030). So much we can foresee ahead!

I think the next years will unfold as the following. The economic crises will continue to become worse and worse, whether it is by mistake after mistake of our stupid governants and bankers, or by subtle orchestration from hidden powers (the conspiracy theory) it does not matter.

The Occupy movements, the uprisings, revolts, and social unrest will continue, but what seems to be something big is still only the very beginning. Wait until a few years down the road!

The austerity measures will deepen the current recession into a new great depression, with huge numbers of unemployed and worse, social unrest. The whole debt mess is one without exit, like a cancer or like a drug addiction. It is a destructive pattern of debt and following bail outs which create new debt.

I think now that there is actually a hidden orchestration by the powers that be, behind the scenes. It cannot be a mere coincidence the prosecution and exploitation of south European countries, by pointing at their big debt and then demanding them to ask for external aid (which is debt and a loss of sovereignty). It looks to me that this is orchestrated to cause the collapse of economy in the whole planet, and bring about a new world order. But even if the conspiracy does not exist, the current situation is one without exit. Except if the whole thing crashes and restarts again with brand new rules.

2012 will see the continuation of the events of 2011: a mess within Europe and social unrest around the planet. The world is at the brink of many threats to its current old order. I don't know exactly what happens in 2012 but it something big will happen that will trigger the collapse of either the Euro or Dollar by 2013. It can be that Italy is bailed out, Spain or even England, France or Germany. Or maybe Israel attacks Iran and triggers a oil shock. Or even something else unexpected.

By 2013, the revolts against the system stop to be mere plays and become violent and widespread. A sense of the threat of military coups and civil war between classes (or ideologies) start to be present. This might well explode by 2014. Otherwise, assuming the Iran war scenario, the whole thing might also spiral out of control in 2013 or 2014, either by becoming a widespread war, or by crashing the global economy.

The years between 2014 and 2018 are very painful. Considering the astrological trends, this is the climax of the cardinal square, and the peak of a destructive trend caused by aspects between outer planets. In all likelihood there will be uprisings, civil wars, regional wars, economic depression.

It could be that this is not as dramatic as it looks like. The degree of drama is something that I cannot predict yet, but some historical drama will be involved, that seems sure.

By 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, there is a new trend. The world has suffered and perhaps people demand a new world order, or the powers that be impose one on people. Something like huge shifts in power will happen, and many things from the past will cease by then. Could be religions, ideologies, nations, monetary systems. Alternatively, if the constructive pattern doesn't catch, then there will be a climax of the uprisings and revolutions by now, growing in size until 2025, when they become full-blown, until they reach a resolution point by 2029. But, if the revolutions were already full-blown by 2014-2018, then this period will mark a lot of societal changes but without perhaps the violence of before. Either way, there will be dramatic changes in the world order, in nations, at this time (2020-2030). Expect also, a lot of civil conflict, this will be caused by the depression, with extreme ring wingers and left wingers against the government, and fight for power, and also, in the craze of the moment, probably between religious, political and ethnic groups. I see this likely in England, Italy and the US, for example.

By 2030, the world is very different, and there will be probably major blocks of power around the world and new borders between nations, in a way that will look strange for us. There will be major international treaties, new currencies, new systems, new technology.

Yes, I also forgot to point that during the dramatic period after 2014, there will be major leaders having a big impact, both from the government and from the masses, (like Hitler and Gandhi in the thirties), and there will be many new inventions and shocking technology coming out. Yes, expect that.

Also, the population will probably be quite reduced, and many will choose to move away from the chaos of the big cities and forming intentional and local communities and projects. This will be one of the positive paths towards the future, away from the mass fist of the powers that be. I am still unsure about how much the infrastructures will be destroyed and sustained through the future crises (e.g. transportation, internet, money system, governments, food chain). Expect at least some major degree of disruption, in gradual steps. It might be a full-blown disruption in many places in western nations, especially in large cities.

The London Riots and Uranus/Pluto square

I said July would be a month of riots (when Mars transited late Gemini - usually Mars in Gemini triggers uprisings during cardinal transits) and I wasn't very far with that prediction.

In fact it is now, as of early August, as Mars entered Cancer and triggered the cardinal square between Uranus/Pluto, that the riots are happening, and also that the stock markets have been crashing.

But this is only the beginning. The Uranus/Pluto square will last until 2015, and Uranus is still in early Aries.

As history shows, things become often more complicated when Uranus reaches about 10º Aries and after that, and that will happen from summer 2012 onwards. Right now Uranus has reached degree 8º of Aries, and started to form the square to Pluto, and this explains the sudden increase in violence, revolutions and rioting. From Tunisia to Egypt, Libya to Syria, Greece to London, and elsewhere.

I said, that with this configuration, the summer of 2011 (and possibly the spring and summer of 2012) would seem similar to that of 1968. Or even the revolutionary waves of 1989 or 1848, and that is what is happening.

What comes in next years?

We have currently a stock market crash, as a recovery seems to fail, and the economical crises now is spreading from Portugal and Greece, to Italy, Spain and France and even the US.

I have said that by 2014, the biggest world powers are going to be greatly affected by the cardinal crises. The Uranus/Pluto square is going to square many important points in the natal charts of many world powers, like the US, France, Germany, Italy, China and the UK. That has happened back in 1930-1935, when the Great Depression happened, Hitler rose to power, and the world was in the beginning stages of WWII.

Hopefully that will not happen again. But I think a second Great Depression is very likely to develop. The debt cannot be buried. If politicians close their eyes, the whole system is going to collapse sooner or later. Now it is the time so that they take drastic measures, like changing the whole system to a debt-free society, but that seems very unlikely and so that's why I say a second Great Depression will happen.

This will come with riots and social unrest like the ones happening in London. Or the terrible terrorist attack by the far right in Norway.

People are getting angry and turning to the extreme, something that happens often when Uranus transits Aries. Violence is a easy channel for a lot of this Aries energy, but it's not the wisest one. I worry that things might get out of control.

The next years, will be best spent away from the cities. The fact that there will be a long standing square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn is a very clear sign that there will be at least a great tension violence and long-lasting crises, and at worst a huge burst and bang around the world.

After economic violence, there is now social violence (Greece, Syria, London, Norway). And it will become another big problem. Both Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn often bring a very hard fist of power and violence.

I warned before about the issue of intolerance, class, racial and social conflicts. There is a lot brewing in many places (Middle East, Africa, US, Europe). People cannot let themselves intolerant of others, as they do often when Uranus in Aries. Last time, with Hitler and Stalin, millions of people died. The Jews were a scapegoat, people voted to far right and far left. There was no sense of balance. This would happen most when Uranus transits Libra (as it did in the sixties). Hopefully we have learn the lessons, but this square is going to bring the same test again. That's why I think this time the riots will not be like the sixties, they will be more like 1848 or like during the thirties, linked to economic crises and a lot of anger.

Let us just hope that there is no violence between nations. Even in nature, big events will happen, there is a lot of cosmic energy, and so this can result in large earthquakes, solar flares and fires. Things like the big volcano disruptions in 2010 and 2011, or the Chile and Japan earthquakes. It has been such two dramatic years, now you know what is like to feel this unique and powerful cardinal energy. It happens only every 84 years. But, no fear please. Aries should be without fear, should be courage and defining a new identity, a peaceful warrior. The best is to engage in a lot of constructive activity, new projects, maybe even grand projects. To learn about ourselves, to strike a new but positive path. That is the best channel for Uranus in Aries.

My personal tale of every house transit I have had...

I still eager to study the big picture behind the transits of outer planets through our natal charts. For that, we have to understand what each house specifically means, from a deeper point of view.

Angular, succedent and cadent houses

First it is important to divide the houses in angular, succedent and cadent. The angular houses is where issues are bring forward, issues of identity and our path, with important choices taken, and movement stirred in one direction. The succedent houses is where that movement is developed, things are manifested, we express ourselves, resources and skills are used. The cadent houses is where we realize that the direction we took has to adapt to the outer world, and so we work details and we prepare the realization that a new impulse will be taken in the next angular house.

A story along the 12 houses

The first house, points to a new beginning, discovering a new path. In the second, we manifest and develop the desires we stated under the first house, more in a practical way, this of course affects our work and how we make a living. In the third house, we confront that we must adapt to our surrounding neighborhood, we think about where we belong. In fourth house, we discover that the security we wish for, is inwards, those are our roots. In the fifth house, we impulsively express our inner being, we manifest and develop our emotions, needs and wishes, as a pursuit of pleasure and manifesting our inner fulfillment. This is again, a great impulse, similar to the first house. In sixth house, we may take the practical steps of that, but mostly we realize we will have to adapt to the world, and work in several practical details. Hence this house is one of much work, testing, perfection. We must work with and serve others. So, as in third house we think about where we belong, here we think about we relate to the outer world. In seventh house, there is an impulse to a new path with others, we relate and balance our path with the significant others. In eighth house, we develop and manifest activities with others, we use resources with others. This is the emotional realm, that relates to the interaction between us and the world. In the ninth, we adapt to the surrounding wider world, this might bring us new horizons and visions, new cultures, new purposes of living, this is also because we prepare to work about where we stand in the world, the next house. In tenth house, we have an impulse to determine where we stand in the world (that actually, was already began in the former fire house), our role in the world. In eleventh, we manifest and develop those impulses, we have our own resources and ideas in the social world, we develop and manifest our social role. We also work creatively with others in groups and causes (opposite to fifth house). In twelfth, we realize that there is a wider world out there, we must adapt to that "divine" and spiritual world. We serve the divine, the universal. We work in inner emotional details (opposite of sixth house). We close the cycle, without the angular impulses, and we prepare for the next angular house, of a new beginning.

My Jupiter transits tale

My personal story of Jupiter transiting through each house starts in 1997 when Jupiter entered my first house; that year, I began to pursuit some serious interest in natural sciences, that lead me to my future career. Much study happened as Jupiter transited my second house, and as Jupiter transited my third house, I moved to another city and had to adapt to life there, this was my entry in University. Then, I settle down in a new house there, as Jupiter transited my fourth house, my first achievement of personal independence. This was a new angular impulse! I also opened up to spiritual ideas (since I was looking for inner security), I became a sort of different person. As Jupiter transited the fifth, I became more expressive, social and engaging in many activities (after the insights of the fourth house transit), and one year later, as Jupiter transited the sixth, I went abroad for first time, once again I was adapting to a new reality. This was happening by the time Jupiter entered my seventh house. I was reaching out to the wider world! That year, I started my first job, got my first girlfriend and my best friends. At the eighth house transit, I developed more these themes, I started a PhD (received a scholarship - shared resources), did theater (intensity and depth of relationships), and experimented with the esoteric and astrology. As Jupiter moved to ninth house, I once again, found myself in a new environment, this time living second time abroad but now on work and not on study. I traveled extensively and discovered ecological living as my new passion and purpose. When Jupiter transited the tenth, a cardinal house, something funny happened. I actually tried to quit my job (because I was unhappy with it, but after talking with my boss, I decided to move my project abroad again). This happened as Jupiter transited the eleventh house. At this time, I met my current partner (a compromise = tenth house), and developed the cause of ecological living (11th house). I spend the days of the 12th house, living with my partner together for first time, enjoying walks on the nature, and meditation, a low social life, and thinking of how to end my ongoing career and starting a new one. Bang! Comes first house, and I actually found new interested and just as Jupiter started the second house transit, I went abroad after quitting my job. Life suddenly become light again! I did not gained any money but rather enjoyed learning new professional skills (2nd house). Now, as Jupiter transits 3rd house and about to enter the fourth, we went living together in an ecovillage abroad, we are learning much, and adapting to this new social life. We also decided to settle down here since they offered us a new home here (4th house theme). Recently, I have been having some new inner insights, like learning to live in the present moment, I guess this will be part of my 4th house transit experiences.

My Saturn transits loooong story

Saturn is different. It takes a long time to transit the whole chart. I remember my childhood days when Saturn transited my 10th, 11th and 12th house. My parents were having a hard time together, and so I lived a few years with my grandmother (which then became sick). I was a very shy kid, feeling socially alienated - I guess it was the 11th house transits - Uranus and Neptune were also transited the 11th and 12th houses, for these childhood and teenage years. I was dreamy and with a big interest in science, having so many outer planet transiting my eleventh and then twelfth house. As Saturn transited my 12th house, it was not only my grandmother that got sick, but also myself. It was a terrible time, I discovered several health problems in a short period of time, but I changed dramatically my diet, and recovered by the time Saturn transited into my first house. At that time, I gained my serious interest in natural sciences. I also moved again back to my parents. As Saturn entered the second, I discovered I wanted to be a Biologist. When Saturn then transited my third house I entered University and suffered the social struggle of fitting in, besides the troubles of study. Soon I got depressed, as Saturn moved into the fourth, but this was my spiritual awakening. It was also when I got to live independently from my parents! As Saturn moved to the fifth, it was a time of fun, the first romances, and studying abroad. Saturn moving into sixth, I finally close down this cycle, I moved again abroad a couple of years after starting my first job, but I was unhappy with my career. It's like all that sudden fifth house fun confronted the work life of sixth house. And as perfect as transits can get, I met my current fiancé, as Saturn transited seventh house. I still remember, first I got into a relationship, as Saturn was entering the descendant but it didn't work. But I was getting serious, and so this attracted the first and current serious relationship. When Saturn moved into eighth house, we moved to live together - again, such a perfect astrology synchrony. But it was a dense time: I was unemployed, because I was still unhappy with my career, which I only changed as Saturn moved ninth house, and we settled down living together in an ecovillage abroad - perfect ninth house symbolism again. It's also a nice cadent transit, by meaning I again adapted professionally and socially into a new social setting. I can only wonder what new great cardinal impulse, will Saturn make me create, in a couple of years, when it enters tenth house.

Uranus and Neptune

I will not talk much about Uranus and Neptune transits, except for the fact that I lived most of my brief adult years, with both transiting my first house, setting up a grand new beginning for my life. Uranus on the first house, was a rollercoaster of personal experimentation and discovery. Neptune, has been a long time of inner linkage, a long period with lots of visions and wishes, but rather indistinct looking ahead, and so I have been finding trust in the overall flow of life. With Uranus transiting the second, I was the struggle for professional freedom, and the realization I needed a new and quite free-concept career. Uranus in third, had been going through a collection of experiences, in which I can express this newly found career, by so adapting to everyday living and communicating (right now in an ecovillage). I have been having a long struggle to find some permanent roots, so I guess a a bit of fourth house influence is already starting to effect its energy on me. At the moment, I am very happy living in the countryside, in our own place, after living many years on a city.

Mars 2-year cycles

With Mars is also easy to discover the flow of each house into the next, and their themes and learning continuum. Mars was transiting my first house (in Aquarius) during many of my recent short-term crises: January 2000, December 2001, June 2003, May 2005, April 2007, March 2009, February 2011. These were also times were I took actions for some major life change. In some occasions, I was very effective, in others this resulted in conflict with other people. Mars transiting the second, was nearly always working on those choices. The first house is often a hunger for something new that often we don't really know what it is. It's like the emerging of a new seed, but we don't know yet what is coming out of it. Just that something speaks from our soul, and we are urged to act. When Mars transited third house, it was rather uplifting and happy times, generally very social and adapting to new social realities. Often, these are just more action related to the wishes that were stirred into action under the first house transit. I kind of see the second and third houses as learning the law of attraction and manifestation, in daily living. The fourth house is difficult to tell what it would be, but generally it defines an adjustment to the circumstances defined before, more in accordance to our inner needs. I don't think it has to mean a change always, but often is, when balance is required, when outer life is out of touch with our inner life. The transit in fifth house, is often a search for real pleasure (sometimes romance), in sixth house, it often involves hard work (I could say that it would be a practical manifestation of the still needed changes realized under the sixth house, often work-related). Seventh house is often marked by great relationship involvement, more social life, and often more career activity. This continues through 8th and 9th house transits. I have had this in summer 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010. When Mars enters tenth house, there is often a reevaluation of life, of taking a stand in our choices and commitments, and so this is a very important time. This happened for me in Feb 2003, Dec 2004, Nov2006, Oct 2008, Oct 2010. I often felt, at this time, a need to check where my life globally is heading, and to take significant action at career matters. This can start under the tenth house transit and continue to eleventh house, but by the time Mars enters 12th house, it is a time for rest, contemplation and nurturing our inner world, just before the hectic first house period.

Neptune transiting through each natal house

div>Transits to each house are nearly the same themes, but the approach and general energy we have towards those, is colored by each specific transiting planet. With Neptune, the way we live through a specific transit is colored by confusion, idealism or devotion to those same house themes. Changes will happen, we we will find ourselves suffering, confused, idealizing and devoted to personal issues, our family, our relationships and our career.

Neptune transiting 1st house marks the awakening of our personal levels, our soul, a new idealism, and a new softness in the way we relate to the outer world. We might feel terribly confused about our path in life, or we might feel inspired to pursuit a new path in life. We are very open to the energies surrounding us, between the self and the outside world. There might be a more pronounced interest in humanitarian and spiritual matters.

Neptune transiting 2nd house; we still feel confused or idealizing our path in life, and this affects more and more how we live professionally, it affects also our resources and money themes. We might live with little care about money, only to find that which truly appeals us, is how we own living (the way we live, the things we have, the things we do). These are still very much changes at a personal level. Anyone with this transit? I will have this in a few years.

Neptune transiting 3rd, we might feel confused, idealizing or devoted in our daily life, in our day to day existence, a little bit in the same line of the previous two transits. I think all these transits, make us feel closer to nature, spirituality and creativity. In 3rd house, our mind can be saturated with Neptune themes, of devotion, confusion, dreaming, imagination, music, arts, creativity, the things around us and our social living. Communication can be deceptive, confusing or inspiring.

Neptune transiting 4th and we feel lonely, in our own, looking for what it's going on inside, it is a perfect time for spiritual matters, but not so great for social engagement. We feel drawn to meditation and the inner world, we feel emotional. We look for our ideal roots. There is greater emotional sensitivity, as memories and the unconscious is stimulated. There might be Neptunian issues with our family (caring, suffering, devotion, linkage), and you might feel evasive from your career life, parents or boss.

Neptune transiting the 5th might make our romantic affairs idealizing or confused. Gambling and romance might be an illusion. There might be romance for the wrong reasons, it might be unrealistic, illusory, for drama, or deceptive. We know we want to pursuit the expression of our soul and have fun and pleasure, and express it. This transit can be good for creativity. There might some Neptunian issues with children.

Neptune transiting the 6th. I still don't know much about the 6th house transit.

Neptune transiting the 7th brings us devotion, loneliness, or confusion in close relationships. I still don't know much about the 8th house transit. Neptune transiting 9th brings us a very devoted philosophical interests in new visions about life, be it practically, or spirituality. There can be a great engagement with travel and exploration of other cultures and spiritual systems.

Neptune transiting 10th and 11th, makes us devoted (but probably not thinking too much) about our career, devoting ourselves to it, or perhaps with some confusion over it. Career can be a great source of confusion or devotion. In 11th house, we might feel more oriented to devote ourselves to social living, and social causes. And the 12th transit brings a new drawnness to the universal and inner world, to shyness, away from social activity, to the world of emotions and dreams, until a new awakening.

Uranus transiting 2nd house. Money and job issues

I have now finishing a long 7-years transit of Uranus through my SECOND HOUSE.

To put it short: I haven't not only gained the lottery, I haven't gained any big sums of money, I haven't loss money, I haven't experimented with different jobs!

Well, the whole story is different. In fact, I start my first job (a university grant) when Uranus was just about to enter 2nd house. After years of living crazy and free during university (Uranus transiting 1st), I settled down for a professional project. But soon, I discovered that this project was not what I liked, and that my boss restricted my personal freedom. I realized I was meant for a different career, which is a good representation of what the transit of Uranus in the 2nd means.

This happened between 2004 to 2006. Then, I decided I wanted to quit my project, but my boss did not allow me to breach the 4 years contract! At that time, I was occupied with discovering other ways of living, and I even became obsessed with the concept of self-sufficiency, as means to achieve the control over your resources, without the hand of a boss or society.

In 2008, I moved abroad, while working on the same project, but having a second and new boss (while keeping the first one but at distance). In 2009, the project finished and I became unemployed. Until then, I had saved great sums of money, by living very simple. No debts, no big spending, except for a couple of travels.

For the next 2 years, and until now, I haven't earn much money, but neither have I lost or spend much. I have a very careful person when it comes to financial planning.

During those 2 years, I had intermittent short-term paid contracts, and I also volunteered in radically different fields from that of my former career. Therefore, I gradually, built a whole new career, by experiencing new projects, even if I was not being paid for them (volunteering, internships, etc). Changing to a new career that appealed more to my personal freedom, values and happiness, was the main lesson of Uranus in 2nd house.

Jupiter transited 2nd house last year. Jupiter is nice because it has been showing me that there are many possible jobs I could take and be happy with, and as possibilities for earning.

But the thing is, every each I tried, I work, people like me a lot and my work, but don't pay me anything. Everyone says they don't have any chance of pay me because of the recession.

This is obviously the effect of Uranus in 2nd house. Actually I feel much more happy being quite free to swing from project to project, while learning from it. However, gradually my savings are decreasing. But unexpected, a new salary can come next money, by someone offer.

What I realized now is that I could in fact have had a stable salary from beginning to end, but would I really wanted it? In fact, I haven't made the effort to demand that, because I was already thinking in trying a new job/new project, while I was establishing on one.

Finally, I was lost some money. Not a lot. Particularly, in 2008 and 2009, I had some worries, when people asked me to pay some bills, tickets, and stuff like that. I even did not deserve those. But that was Uranus in 2nd house screaming that I should not get attached to money saving. Live in the present moment, Uranus said. Live to your fullest potential.

PS: Natally I dont have any planet in 2nd house, Pisces is in cusp, Neptune its ruler is conjunct the sun in 11th house, and I have been always working in 11th house jobs. No hard aspects to Neptune.

Another explanation is: I have Saturn in 8th house by transit and natally. So, this is Saturn (restriction) of money through other people (8th house).

The 2012 solar storms predictions! Solar storms in mid May and mid December 2012

It is well known from astronomers that the Sun rotates its sunspots every 27.2 days.

It was also recently discovered that the same core of sun spots stay from one cycle, to the next one. They might not be visible but the magnetic core is there, invisible, and they show themselves again, over the next solar cycle, in that same solar surface spots. This is not to say that new magnetic cores will form, and give origin to new sunspots. But roughly the same sunspots appear over and over again after 27.2 days.

I then checked when there were recently sunspots facing Earth, and geomagnetic storms:

Going backwards this correlates with major solar storms in 31-.5 August 2010, or even back to 20 January 2005, very close to 15 July 2001 and 2 April 2001.
Only the major storm of 29-4 Nov 2003 does not fit in the cycle. Curiously appearing 14 days later, as if in the opposite side of the sun, to where most intense sunspots referred before formed.

Again the Mayan date of 21/12/2012 appears right on the spot, of this 7 month major storm cycle. We know that the predictions are for a solar maximum in 2012 or 2013. The problem is that I am not sure what is the precise period of the 7 month cycle, it's something around 7 months (or 8 times 27.2 days, which is 217 days). However, you can add 27 days before or after to the dates above mentioned, to find other likely solar storm periods.

Also if we going backwards we will also find the June 1991 flares (X12) and March 1989 (Quebec power grid failure) on this cycle!

Let's see the year of 2010 and 2011, in summary, as the Sun and Mars transits cardinal signs, and also Uranus crosses back and forth the Aries cusp. Sometimes 3 or 4 major world events happen within the same month!

This is a month of great cardinal energy. More big events are likely to happen. Much intensity. Since this hits directly the chart of many world nations, this might be again a big thing. Maybe a war starting.

28 June to 9 July 2011. Sun progress through a cardinal sign, while forming a big cardinal cross. Uranus and Pluto begin their long cardinal square! And Mars transits the revolutionary Gemini.

This will be probably a time of revolutions! The economy might be so unstable that would trigger that need for revolts. There is a push for revolutionary conflict. This might be the return of the uprisings early in the year, but on a new level. Nations might feel great pressure. Might be Middle East, Europe or another important country. At best, a revolution. At worse, a war. July might be well a month known in history for its riots.

As Mars transits Cancer in August 2011, there might be a new major natural disaster, comparable to the Chile and Japan earthquakes. Could be some events happening between July and August.

There might be more intensity around September and December 2011.

25 March to 15 April 2012. While there is again much cardinal energy, a long opposition of Mars to Neptune. This might be a time of natural disaster, or something that will impact strongly mankind. I am not sure, could be economic related, I even though about the flu pandemic returning again.

1-31 July 2012. Another month of GREAT cardinal energy. At least one or two big events are expected. A new sort of "global focus" on "some important major issue" will happen by this time. Watch out for this (whether a revolution, economic crises, or war) because this might be the trigger for the VERY BIG row of events due to happen by 2013 and 2014. I expect some quite of historical news in July (could be a revolt in some western country, an important moment of crises in the economy) and then again in late November 2012 (more likely a war at this time).

Every April and October, the transiting Sun goes through my 3rd and 9th house.

This occurs always in the same month, and it depends on the rising sign we have.

Since I have Aquarius rising, in April, the Sun transits Aries (my natal 3rd house), and in October, Libra (my natal 9th house).

I noticed that travelling tends to happen a lot at these times of the year.

Almost all of the times I traveled, I had the Sun, Mars or Jupiter transiting either the 3rd or 9th house. This is more than a coincidence. Travel also happens often in April or October, at the times the Sun transits through my 3rd and 9th houses.

There seems to be more travels at the time the Sun transits the 3rd house rather than the 9th, maybe because of a more personal period, less focused on career matters.

Far away travel tends to occur more under the influence of 9th house transits, or when Jupiter transits both houses. Just look at how often I traveled, when Jupiter transited through my 9th house.

In addition, travel can also be more appealing, when planets are transiting the 1st and 7th houses, due to the cardinal energy, and also during the 5th house, due to the pursuit of pleasure.

Every March, the transiting Sun goes through my second house.

This occurs always in the same month, and it depends on the rising sign we have.

Since I have Aquarius rising, in March, the Sun transits Pisces (my natal 2nd house).

Right now (17th March) I am preparing to move into a new apartment.

I noticed that changes of residence tends to happen a lot at this time of the year.

Half of the times I moved apartment were in March, when the Sun transited my 2nd natal house. This is more than a coincidence. This time of the year usually represents "a new beginning", after the Sun transits the natal first house, and the second house represents the practical manifestation of that "new beginning". Often, Mercury and Mars are also transiting the 2nd house.

I often moved into new cities or countries at this time of the year (when the Sun transits Pisces, my 2nd natal house). Examples include February 2000, February 2003, March 2006, March 2008 and January 2011.

For those who question themselves, why not the 4th house, I tell you the following: in fact, counting from my Sagittarius natal Sun, Pisces would be my solar 4th house. Whether this is relevant, I don't know.

The fact is that often around February or March I start a new life somewhere else.

Accuracy of AstroTransits predictions in 2011: Arab protests and Japan disaster

Last year, I was already forecasting that there would be Islamic uprisings:

Think for instance of Islamic uprisings or wars continuing through the next decade.

In the months ahead, much change is expected to happen in April (due to Mars in Aries). I would follow closely the dates aforementioned. More protest energy is likely to occur in July, after the summer solstice (due to Mars in Gemini), and also by mid September (due to Mars in Cancer).

The Japanese disaster (which resulted on a global crisis) is occurring now as Mercury and Jupiter oppose Saturn in 13-15º Aries / Libra axis, which are degrees where most western nations have their angles, and most important natal planets. Therefore, the activation of this axis is at least, the spark of a large global crises.

The axis is going to be transited by Uranus and Pluto in the years ahead, 2013, 2014 and 2015, which could result in a further bigger global series of events. By 19 April 2011, the same degree is going to be triggered again (this might be another development of big events?). It is a preview of what the next years might bring.

It could be linked to what is happening now (endless economic crisis, crash of resources and energy, nuclear energy and radiation, population displacements, natural disasters, uprisings)

Rulers in Astrology - an unconventional opinion

For me rulers make no sense. Astrologers are just linking planet similarities to signs (Jupiter for Sagittarius, Saturn to Capricorn, Uranus to Aquarius...). Just like they link houses to signs (e.g, second house to Taurus, third to Gemini).

Why does Mars rule Scorpio or Aries? You could argue for Pluto ruling Aries, or for Mercury ruling Aries, Neptune ruling Cancer, or for Neptune ruling Sagittarius. Or Moon ruling Pisces!

It's just affinities. I don't think there are rulerships.

Everything is a concept invented by humans. Let us go beyond the mental illusions of humans, reality is much more strange to understand!

Signs actually blend one another, there are no clear cut divisions. A person born in 25 June is somewhere in a spectrum between Gemini and Cancer, just like the musical note scale, the colors of the rainbow, or the electromagnetic spectrum.

Just like the scale goes in same energetic pattern, from spring equinox to spring equinox (Aries to Pisces), so goes the pattern of houses one next to the other, after the rising sign: fire, earth, air and water.

In reality, it's all about geometry, that relates to that sequence of four elements of inner and outer transformation. I am not 100% sure about this, nonetheless I guess this is possibly a pretty close understanding of the astrological reality.

Trines relate to same element. Sextile relate to same compatible energy. Square relates to same mode of operation (mutable, cardinal or fixed) but different energies. Opposition to complementary but contrasting energies. So, go the houses, like between 1st, 5th and 9th, or relationship between the angles and the following houses, 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th.

Planets do not seem to relate closely to this sequence. If I relate the Sun to first house, I cannot relate Mercury to the second house, or Venus to the 3rd house. If I relate Sun to the 5th house, I would have to relate Mars to the 8th house, Neptune to the 12th house, and how about the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th houses?

Same thing goes to signs. If I relate the Sun to Leo, then I relate Mercury to Virgo, Venus to Libra, and until Neptune to Pisces, and how about between Aries and Cancer. Cancer could relate the Moon, and Pluto with Aries, but what about Taurus and Gemini?

As I said before, it is still very interesting to see these patterns between a sequence of signs and a sequence of planets in our solar system, but at a certain point the sequence does not seem very linear.

Big changes coming in 2011?

Just as in July 2008 as the oil prices rose quickly, and there was a big global recession, now we are watching a very fast climbing of oil prices in consequence of the unrest in North Africa and Middle East.

If an uprising happens in Saudi Arabia (and a "day of rage" is scheduled for 11 March), this could cause a serious block in oil supply, and make the prices climb even higher than in 2008. This could result in a more serious global depression in 2012 and afterwards, just as I forecast.

At the same time, we are witnessing a wave of revolutions spreading around. In Sudan, Tunis, Egypt, and now Libya and Yemen. Even if this does not result in a worst global economical crises, this uprising wave could easily reach important countries such in Europe (we already see signs of it in Greece, Italy and sometimes in France and the UK). We see the unrest in Belgium, and the economic impasse in Ireland, Portugal and Spain. I have predicted this serious of intense events for December 2010 earlier last year, here and here.

This could be well the catalyst to result in a global wave of uprisings around Europe (and even in America and China), for the years following 2012. We know that around 2015, global matters will be much more complicate. Also the charts of most western countries will be affected by the square of Uranus/Pluto. This has happened last time in the thirties, during Great Depression and WWII. By 2023, a global wave of revolutions is forecast, just as it happened 250 years ago, when Pluto transited Capricorn, prior to America and French Revolutions. We could be watching now the early beginnings of this revolution wave, as we have predicted in previous posts here (a Great Depression in 2010s), here (year by year astrological energy and predictions, between now and 2025) and here (the cardinal climax crises hitting bottom in late 2010s). It's a little bit the Astrology of Revolutions, that happen in cycles every 21 and 84 years.

Watch out for this spring. A day of rage in Saudi Arabia on 11th March. If that causes oil prices to climb even higher, then by spring echinox, we could be well into a new global crises. More or less as it happened in the autumn equinox of 2008. This would result in further protests and uprisings by late spring and early autumn.

And remember that with the Uranus energy, anything unpredictable can happen, just like the pandemic in 2009 or the Icelandic volcano in 2010. We could still have more Wikileaks revelations, or a disruptive big solar flare as a new solar maximum approaches.

Mars in Libra brings renewed economic crises, and an important personality (Obama and Wikileaks).
Mars in Capricorn brings war tensions (Gaza, Korea) and the Arab world.
Mars in Aries brings war tensions and brought the pandemic.
Mars in Leo brought renewed global protests, disruptions and more natural disasters

April and May 2011 Mars transits again Aries. What will happen this time? War? Riots? Look for mid April 2011 for more possible unrest.

July 2011 Mars transits Gemini, and October 2011 Mars transits Leo. Would there be revolutions, uprisings and more protest, around the world? I expect 2011 to be a little bit like 1968. April, July and October can mark the start and culmination of something.

Is there also going another big natural disaster around October?

July and August 2012, Mars transits Libra: would there be renewed economic crises? Would there be another glimpse of dramatic change brought by someone like Obama and Julian Assange?

If you had planets in late mutable degrees like me, then you already most of the action in 2006-2010, you are probably already following a new direction after much inner struggles to find a new way. Congratulations, you have made it!

If you have planets in early cardinal signs (like a between 0º and 6º Aries) you are probably on the middle of a big upheaval and change in your life. If you have the planets more like between 4º and 8º Aries, you are probably still on the early stages of this change. By 2012, as both Uranus and Pluto move into the mid degrees of Aries and Capricorn, you will have more of that feel of a new direction establishing in your life. Probably the issue know, is not so much to abandon an old order of living, but rather how to create a new one.

If you have planets in mid cardinal signs (like around 10-18º Aries), then wait, because you are due to a big coming revolution in your life. You probably already feel it coming (particularly if that is your natal Sun, Moon or angles). You might find it interesting to talk with people like me and others, that have already lived through the cardinal crises.

I have a natal stellium Neptune-Sun-Mercury at 25-30º Sagittarius, and Mars at 0º Libra, which have been transited by Pluto, Saturn, Uranus and Jupiter, in recent years. Revolutionary wave 2011 (Revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, more next?)

Hello everyone! Uranus has entered Aries, as it does every 84 years of a new social cycle.

Usually, at this time, riots tend to occur very often. In 1760s, just at the start of the American Revolution. In 1848, in the Year of Revolutions (revolts occurred in nearly country of Europe that year). In 1931, as the Great Depression deepened. This also occurs as Uranus enters cardinal angles. In 1968 (Uranus enters Libra) with widespread uprising in France, the US and other countries. In 1989 in all Eastern European countries.

Last year, widespread protests occurred in Greece, Ireland, London and Rome. Now, we are witnessing a revolutionary wave spreading across North Africa and the Middle East! First, Tunisia, now Yemen and Egypt. Probably, this will spread further and further, as the square between Uranus and Pluto tightens in late 2011 and 2012. I would say, expect social unrest in Saudi Arabia, Iran and Turkey, and later coming to Europe. It is most likely that this will happen, as the current system is unsustainable, corrupt and will have to be crashed down, either by some natural or man-made event, such as popular uprisings.

Now, uprising are beginning because Mars is transiting Aquarius (a revolutionary sign), I should have seen that coming.

In April and May, Mars in Aries will trigger again the cardinal energies, this could be very energetic combination (with at least a new crises event happening). I would almost bet that Iran will be having much unrest, as well as Greece and/or Turkey. Another "Suez"/oil crises (Saturn in Libra)?

By late June and July (write JULY 2011), expect the high likelihood of something that could be written in the history books, connected to revolutions and uprisings. And again, another wave of protests and revolts/revolutions in October.

I expect 2011 to be a little bit like 1968.

In 2011, we will continue to witness the ongoing cardinal climax, with the progress of Uranus into the earlier degrees of Aries. This means we will continue to see the different ongoing crises: social, economic, political, military, climatic, and likely more new crises and events happening suddenly (as suddently as the Chilean earthquake, Icelandic volcano, the Korean shelling or the Wikileaks revelations this year)

In January and February, as Mars transiting Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces (as in early 2009 and early 2007) will see the global matters as important as never before. Deep worries with the economic situation, and also with the Korean crises. Until 20th January, there is a high likelihood of economic troubles, scandals and wars, the Korean situation will continue near boiling (wars tend to start with Mars in Capricorn). What will happen very likely, will be a VERY COLD WINTER in Europe, North America and China.

In March, we find the start of more aggressive energies. If you have planets or angles in cardinal degrees, watch out for the next two periods: 10 March: Mercury conjuncts Uranus in Aries. 18-21 March: Mercury conjuncts Jupiter in 12º Aries, and opposes Saturn in 15º Libra (degree of many national charts); Full Moon in spring equinox. At least, we will see some DISRUPTIONS for large groups of people, this could be flights disruptions for example (as we observed now with snowstorms, and last April with the Icelandic volcano). This is the likely period for WIKILEAKS new revelations causing fears in the stock markets.

April seems the same mood, dynamic, eventful, aggressive. This could feature the most likely start of a major CONFLICT in the Koreas or Iran. Internal unrest will occur at least sometimes in western nations, more than during the former months. In March and April, as different alignments aspect the Jupiter-Saturn opposition at mid Aries, this will hit heavily in the charts of several important nations, such as the US, Germany, UK, China, this could mean a larger CRISES in March or APRIL. Could be Wikileaks, serious war or further economic trouble. Heavy diplomacy will be called for (as implied by Saturn in Libra) Critical periods of high energy are: 2-4 April: Mars conjuncts Uranus in Aries; New Moon at 15º Aries (critical degree), 18-22 April: Mars and Mercury conjunct Jupiter and oppose Saturn. In summary, the first highly charged period of 2011 will be between mid March and end of April!

May with Sun and Mars just coming out from Aries and entering Taurus, means probably a very charged beginning of the month but then, hopefully, winding down to more down-to-earth and stable moods. Another trend this year will be great SCIENTIFIC and TECHNOLOGICAL advances and discoveries. I am still expecting for something big.

The summer will be no child's play. It will be a highly-charged summer, in the likes of the 1968-1969, 1989-1990. What seems likely is to expect social unrest, general strikes, riots, attacks and some violence and protests in cities. After the solstice, with Mars entering Gemini, we might see the early stages of a revolutionary or at least riots/protest wave, this will be a sign of what is to come by 2020s. Something like these last 3 months (student protests in Rome, London, Athens, France). JULY might be well the PROTEST/RIOT month.

Remember that as the summer comes, Uranus and Pluto begin forming the first square! This hits strongly on Russia chart (could there be unrest there?) Also hits Iran chart. I am all for peace, but with Uranus in Aries, and its intense aspects, this is a recipe for exploding tensions. Critical dates to watch out, if you have planets or angles in cardinal signs will be: 17-21 June: Summer solstice, Mercury squares Uranus; and Mars enters Gemini. 3-11 August: Mars enters Cancer and triggers the Uranus/Pluto square. 25 August: Mars square Saturn, Sun opposite Neptune. Likely a second climax of unrest and events will be by late July and early August! Watch out for more sudden events. Weather-wise, the summer will be quite extreme, but hot and hurricane-active. The rest of the the year will be covered in a late article, but other critical periods will be 24-26 September: Autumn equinox, Mercury opposes Uranus, and 24 December: New Moon conjuncts Pluto, and squares Uranus. And please remember, these are very tentative predictions (for the world). If you have planets in cardinal degrees, you might do well to pay attention to the dates marked in bold (also listed below), as they will be the most eventful and energetic.

Overall, the year highlights might be well a major crises during spring/summer, I could guess Wikileaks, bank-related, or a major war, a major scientific advance, and increasingly violent protests against the powers that be.

A revolution in Astrology is needed! 10 difficult questions for astrologers to answer!

I am an astrologer, but I am above all, a truth seeker, so I like to ask difficult and challening questions to the astrological community. Since I am not in astrology for money, but rather for spiritual and psychological understanding and curiosity, I wish to seriously investigate these questions. I think every astrologer would gain much more validity and honesty, by at least spending some moments investigating, asking and studying these following points?

What law does it explains that Jupiter is a benefic influence, while Saturn is a restraining one? Why are squares difficult, and trines good and easy?
Why under the Mars effect (Gauquelin effect), most sport people, military and doctors have more their Mars more around the ASC and MC than all the other houses? And why most have their Mars in 9th house rather than their 10th, and in their 12th rather than their 1st!?
WHy do astrologers use different zodiac systems, some use stars some don't, and use different house systems? If Astrology is not a charlatan's activity, surely only one system should work accurately, and another not so much. Where is accuracy in Astrology, for truth' sake? Which system is the best? Why don't astrologers use thousands of natal charts and their life stories and use statistics to determine this?
Why should progressions work, if they use an arbitrarious chosen unit of time, one degree or one day, and this is a human invention?
Why don't astrlologers question what is really the effect of, let's say, a Saturn or Uranus transit, based on empirical experience, rather than astrological books? Shouldn't we distinguish the effect of for instance a Uranus transit is different for fire signs, or earth signs, rather than presenting a similar generalistic description for everyone!?
Why do we characterize signs accordingly to the characteristic of the constellations and animals/beasts that were drawn in the sky 2000 years ago, but today shifted almost one month before? Where does Aries really start? Are there really cusps or a transition of one sign or house into the next one? Where is precision and accuracy in astrology? Could astrologers use more faith rather than their passion to seek truth and understanding? Why is for example that so many people born in early July exhibit some Gemini traits, more than people born in mid July? Why are there much more agressive people born in late April (including at 0-5º Taurus) than people born at late March? Why Saturn brings often so much change, and still astrologers speak of Saturn as the status quo? Surely, we need to question what is really the modern meaning of the planet energies!
How is it possible, if information is wrong, that astrologers are advicing their patients and asking them for money!!?
Why isn't there more non-sense and serious investigation into the astrological effects on weather, plant growth, societal growth, etc?
Why is there so much non-sense for charts drawn above the Arctic Circle, do you know people born there, that we could explore where do really chart house begin and end, at these latitudes? Do fixed stars really have an effect or are they just the astrologer imagination?
Why do astrologers place so much importance on Pluto, but very little on the Moon North Node, or on other newly discovered dwarf planets such as Eris or Sedna, which have nearly the same size!? Why should they place their meaning and energy related to the myth of the deity that humans choose to name, rather than through empirical evidence? Why, since there is so much thousands of natal charts available, biographies, mundane history, why isn't there astrological scientific investigations, and serious publications, with a scientific basis, using statistic to distinguish between meaningul effects and not so meaningful?

A millitary conflict within the next few days? Hopefully not!

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas, but there is a very strong Mars/Pluto energy at the moment, and in 21st December (within 4 days) there will be a powerful moon eclipse at 0º Cancer, opposing the Mars/Pluto conjunction.

North Korea threatened to attack the South again, if it goes ahead with a planned milittary drill in that disputed island (that was attacked a month ago) within the next couple of days. Well, with Mars in Capricorn, conjuncted Pluto and opposed by a Moon eclipse, and knowing that Mars in Pluto has a historical link to the start of major wars, I am worried.

Hopefully nothing will happen; this is just more Mars tension and Pluto games, nothing more than words. Something akin of what we saw today between Japan and China. Dear readers, this is the dangerous side of Uranus in Aries! Uncontrolled anger! Oh, I would love that Mars would only be dynamic peaceful and constructive energy, but these humans prefer to respond with war words...

Look at the news!

There is so much happening, this is obviously the entry of Uranus into Aries. A cycle that last 84 years.

We have the continuation of a global economic crises, and recently the talk of a Euro collapse provoked worries, while violent riots occurred in London, Rome and Athens, and general strikes in Portugal, Spain and France. At a more political level, we have seen the global scandal revealed by Wikileaks, a kind of cyber revolution against the powers that be. For sure Julian Assange is another Uranus in Aries manifestation, a kind of new manifesto for revolution, while Eric Cantona appeals for a bank run as a new form of protest (but failing to become mainstream). At a military level, we growing tension in the Koreas, about nuclear conflict, seems something scary similar to what was happening in Europe back on the thirties.

About half-a cycle ago, in 1968, we were having the May 68 protests, Hippies, protests against the war, and Spring of 68 in Prague. About a quarter-cycle, we were having the revolutions of 1989, Eastern Europe wide, and Russia, and the Tienanmen Massacre, and the Fall of the Berlin Wall. One full cycle before, in 1930, we were entering the first year of the Great Depression, with thousands roaming around in despair, unemployment, with the collapse of the economy, and voting for parties that set the stage for the world war. Two cycles ago, in 1848, the year of Revolutions, when nearly every country in Europe had popular uprisings, with a revolution in France, Karl Marx preaching revolution in Germany, and Thoreau writing Civil Disobedience in the States. Two cycles before, we were in the years before the American Revolution.

Remember, Astrologically this is Mars transiting in Capricorn and triggering the cardinal crises. It was predicted in advance on this blog. Why now? Because now, the North Node is also conjunct the duo.

In April 2011, Mars will enter Aries, and join Uranus and Jupiter. I expect more fierce riots in Europe and America. The economical situation will be in trouble. Possibly further worries in Europe. Maybe also some other major event like a major bankruptcy or oil prices inflating. A war might be occurring at this time; Korea rings a dangerous bell. And probably, Wikileaks should release its next major and surprising bomb, at this time. April 2011 will be another eventful and unstable month!

Uranus transiting through each natal chart house

Uranus transiting 1st to 3rd seems to relate to a new way of experimenting with life. Uranus transits the first house refers to a period of a dramatic new personal experimentation, enhance seeking of your own freedom and uniqueness. You seek to define who I am. You want to set up a new path. This leads to much change occurring from year to year. This is the awakening at a personal, relational and professional levels. Uranus transiting the 2nd house we work with the practical manifestation of those experimentation wishes, hence the often shifting from job to job, and financial ups and downs. We seek professional freedom, our career might suffer a big shift and sudden changes in our employment and financial situation, due to our need for freedom, and finding a unique career, that appeals to us and give us freedom to be whoever we want to be. It also means a revolution in personal values that leads to those different professional changes. Uranus transiting the third house occur as we accepted our need for professional diversity and freedom, and we start seeking a variety of social experiences. The pace of life speeds as well as social contact. We grow by seeking a variety of experiences with our surrounding environment (be it in the place where we lived, people around, and our daily tasks). How we communicate might be a critical issue. Our thought is usually quite radical and different from other people at this time. Still, as I have Uranus just entering now my 3rd house cusp, I would be curious to understand what the transit into the 3rd and 4th entails, since I will experienced this in the next years.

While Uranus transiting the 4th to 6th we probably start putting more importance on the way that relationships affect us, perhaps we gradually have solved our issues, and now are working with the issues that involved us in relationships. I am writing this based on personal experience with other transits here. Uranus transiting fourth house should be a very restless period. Emotionally and in inner levels, we are restless and therefore the core of our questions lie there. We seem not to belong anywhere, and we might not understand this, because it will be inside that we must focus our attention. We might change our place of living, looking for our roots, and this leads to upheaval in life. I expect the Uranus transiting 5th house to be a burst of wanting to live of joys of living, probably through much new relationships, romances, adventures, creative projects and hobbies, etc. This might lead us to be a little bit erratic in our love affairs, because we seek novelty and enthusiasm. The 6th house transit should relate to more practical issues, but I am still unsure how this transit will manifest. I am sure that close relationships will gain in importance as Uranus closes to DSC. I think this transit makes us feels very wired, excited (or worried) in our daily life, in our career.

Uranus transiting 7th and 8th house should be the climax of relationship lessons, with much relationship changes and upheaval. Important events happen as it crosses the DSC, like major relationships breaking, people deaths, we gain a new way of living relationships, or we start a major relationship. Whatever it is, we are changing the way we relate to other people, by improving ourselves. Whether we need a new relationship or a time alone, is different for every person, accordingly to the wishes and learning need of that person. During the 8th house transit, this can feel more inner and emotional, more dense. There can be also excitement in connection to business with other people.

While Uranus transiting 9th to 11th should put focus in societal and career purposes and goals, the way we fit into society and we see the "global". I know that Uranus transiting 9th brings us restless feet to travel more, to encounter new ideologies, new horizons. Gradually we feel restless with our life and career. Many have described the 10th house transit as critical events, relationships and jobs changing. Have you lived specific events when Uranus transited your MC? Have you lived the same experimentation with jobs? I think, the transit of Uranus at these houses, bring a general upheaval in the perception that we have of society, our purpose in life, our jobs, and again who we are.

During my teens I have had Uranus transiting my 11th house, I was much involved with new ideals, wishes, and the issues of social non-integration and social alienation. Adult people might feel independent, dedicating themselves with excitement to their personal causes, their career and social lives. Still, the person might feel lonely in face of much social life. There is some degree of social detachment. And the 12th house transit should be the continuation of this theme - moving away from society and relationship issues, focusing more and more at an inner level. Significant emotional changes occur as Uranus approaches the ascendant. Finally, in the years that Uranus crosses the ASC, an important shift occurs, a completely new personal awakening, with the changes stemming more and more outwards, and being clearly defined.

In the last couple of weeks the news were full of action: the Euro crises, the Korea crises, and then the Wikileaks crises. This is a because Mars has been approaching an historical conjunction to Pluto in Capricorn, plus the North Node, and a lunar eclipse on the solstice day!

These are the first signs of the all-powerful Uranus/Pluto square that will occur during the next 5 years and will be full of social agitation. I told you so.

Uranus in Aries versus Pluto in Capricorn signifies a big backlash of individuals against the status quo. In general this occurs every time Uranus transits Aries, but more so, when Pluto transits Capricorn. The big powers are challenged in ways they never would predict.

What do Julian Assange, Richard Dawkins and Eric Cantona, have in common?

Each of them is rebelling against the status quo, in different areas:

In religion, Richard Dawkins calling for millitant atheism and wanting to arrest the Pope.
In economy, we also saw Eric Cantona in France calling for a global bank run.
In governments and military, Julian Assange causing a large global crises with the disclosure of many secret files. Yesterday, a group of hackers is attacking big corporations like Visa and Mastercard, in revenge for Assange arrest.

But there are more manifestations of this Uranus/Pluto square.

We see the European Union wanting to bail out the poorer economies of the south, enslaving them to further debt. It has been Iceland, Greece, Ireland and next is Portugal. A clash between the US and China - we are watching a nearly economic world war. The typical fight for power under Pluto in Capricorn.

This is further complicated and in a dangerous way by the radical governments of North Korea, Iran and Pakistan. Where do Russia and China side? This reminds me of a stalemate in the grand chess game for global domination. It's a very wrong perspective. The governments should unite for prosperity and peace instead of control and individuality. This is an obvious Uranus in Aries danger. During the thirties, this resulted in world war, during the 1770s, this resulted in revolutions.

The Governments are imposing their raw power over the populations with harsh austerity measures. Cutting public investment may be a huge mistake, because this happened precisely during the thirties. And the working masses promoting more and more general strikes (Spain, Portugal, France) and more violent student protests (Italy, UK). If we don't fix the problem, either we will end up with uprisings or war.
In the US the Tea Party is backlashing against the mainstream politics. The extreme left and the extreme right are taking advantage of the unrest of the population. This is very common under Uranus in Aries. In 1930s, Hitler and Stalin were nasty examples, the extreme left was also observed in anarchistic Catalonia. In 1848, Marx called for the year of revolutions. In 1760s, the American fathers called for the American Revolution. There is a call for individuality, mostly for freedom, but not always.

During the next months and years, there will be more individuals coming out with radical protest measures against the status quo!

Uranus in Aries is calling for standing up!

This is just the beginning of a long Uranus/Pluto square that will last all the way between 2010 and 2017. It will be a very dynamic period, with more drama and conflicts. Just like during the thirties or the sixties. Neptune in Pisces will make this time more interesting. In one side, delusions, misleading practices, craziness, confusion, and hopelessness. In another side, hope for salvation, awakening, inspiration.

Violent protests in London and Mars/Pluto conjunction

Today, as Mars closes its conjunction to Pluto, there were violent protests in London.

I told you before that a wave of intense events was going to happen in December.

The news are saturated with Wikileaks, but major headlines also feature the Euro crises, often protests and strikes, and the Korean crises.

The economy is bad, governments and banks are responsible.
And then we, the common people, suffer their consequences and have to pay.
People will become more and more upset, and riot!

Wikileaks, Eric Cantona bank run, the European crises, is just a beginning.

Expect a lot of this by 2013, with a big crises in the United States, the UK, and Germany.

When the Uranus/Pluto square hits the natal chart of these countries.

Uranus in Aries making a square to Pluto in Capricorn. A repeat of 1968?

This will bring very intense social and global unrest just like it did during the Sixties, in 1968, or during the Great Depression and the World War. Uranus in Aries also brought widespread riots during 1848 with the year of revolutions with uprisings in every European country, and during the late 18th century, with the American and French revolutions. It will certainly happen again.

Analysing your chart transits as... a whole!

I found a nice way of plotting our life trends, mostly whether we feel happy and expansive or more introvert, by plotting the transits of Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in each type of house.

For example, if we found ourselves in a period with transiting Jupiter, Uranus and Saturn in fire and air houses, this will be a quite expansive and dynamic year. And if transiting Mars and transiting Sun are also in fire or air houses, then this is even more so. For example, back in 2003 I went living abroad for the first time, as both Mars and Uranus transited my first house, Saturn transited my fifth, Jupiter my seventh, and Pluto my eleventh. During that very dynamic year, I travelled a lot, I met many new people, many relationships and changes. And I was generally very happy.

Another example: back in 2000 I had Uranus, Neptune transiting my 12th house, and both Mars, Jupiter and Saturn entered my fourth house. At that month, I entered my only depression I ever had in my life.

Or back in 2006, at a certain point, I had Mars and Saturn transiting my 6th house, Uranus entering my 2nd house, and Sun transiting my 6th house too: I was full of work to do, I also changed what i think was my ideal career, lots of focus on practical stuff with so much earth element focus.

At another point, I had Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn transiting my third house: I moved my place of residence and met many new people, because I entered University. Third house: education, short travels, social contacts, daily activity.

Can you understand the importance of analysing your transits as a WHOLE?

Wikileaks and Uranus in Aries versus Pluto in Capricorn

Once again, we are observing the corrupt power of governments becoming revealed. Pluto in Capricorn tends to bring the dark side of governments and corporations to surface, punishing the abuse of power.

We observed it this year, through Wikileaks, the scandal of Climategate, the BP leak in the Gulf of Mexico, and the near-collapse of the economies of several countries. The current conjuntion of Mars with Pluto in Capricorn is so strong, that we observe the wide impact of the Wikileaks disclosure, the Korea crises, and the Euro crises.

This is only the beginning. As Uranus in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn, we will see a clash between the radicality of some individuals (Uranus in Aries) seeking to crash down the power of corporations (Pluto in Capricorn), and the other way around, the power of corporations and governments seeking to crash down the populations.

We observe these dynamics with the the masses protesting against bank bail-outs and people organizign bank runs (such as net 7th December) but the governments (and banks) demanding even more of people.

The Wikileaks is just the latest big example: one invidual (Julian Assange from Wikileaks) revealing much more in one single day than the whole mainstream media did over the past decades. He pushed so far, that surely there will be casualities and the vision that the world has from the US will never be the same again. This was a diplomatic 911!

On the other hand, Assange is being persecuted, and his website attacked by hackers. More likely, the secret services are the ones exerting their dark hand of power here. Still, more negative examples, we have single individuals, North Korea's Kim, or Iran's Ahmedinejad, with the potencial to start large scale destructive wars, even nuclear war.

This is a bit of repetition of the 1930s, 1840s or the 1760s, with the unique impact of people like Gandhi, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Karl Marx, Darwin, Benjamim Franklin and Georg Washington. Weren't they also rebels?

Uranus in Aries is a time for rebels and unique movements, and as Uranus makes a long square to Pluto in Capricorn, this will be a long period of protests, scandals, clashes, conflicts and uprisings. For the good, and for the bad. Ultimately, there will be large scale revolutions when Pluto enters Aquarius, and a completely transformed world.

Remember, it is the large powers that are being targetted (banks, corporations, states, military, religion). Watch carefully this trend!

Mars in Capricorn in December: North Korea and Economic trouble (playing with fire)

Playing with fire, with North Korea

We are approaching a dangerous time, I hate to say. Most of the largest wars in the past 100 years, started either when Mars was in Capricorn or in Libra, and less often in other cardinal signs or in Leo and Scorpio (see below). They also tend to occur when outer planets like Uranus or Pluto, are in cardinal signs. To give you recent examples, 911, Iraq war and 2009 Gaza war, all started with Mars in Capricorn. Mars will be again in Capricorn this December, also trigering the cardinal T-square, and conjuncting with Pluto and the North Node: doesn't feel good.

We have already watched North Korea making an attack on the South a few days ago. This is already a manifestation of the Mars/Pluto combination in Capricorn. I would be worried, because the US and South Korea will stage another military drill, this Sunday. Last time, this happened was in late July, also at a time of a cardinal climax activation, and North Korea threatned nuclear retaliation. Doing again the drill, after this recent attack, looks to me as they are playing with fire! Hopefully nothing will happen, but astrology warns us of the bigg risk involved.

Widespread protests and strikes

This week, there were also widespread protests occured in London, Rome and Portugal. This is an effect of Mars and Mercury moving already very close to the cardinal climax! Last time there were widespread protests in France in late September, we were having another cardinal activation. This is a new round of civil protest. Europeans plan a run on the banks for 7th December, do you think this will become a new form of mainstream protest?

Countries facing bankrupcy

In March (another cardinal activation, this time in spring echinox) Greece was on the verge of bankrupcy, now it's Ireland. We are watching all sorts of cardinal climax manifestations. Population are unhappy and with Uranus in Aries people will be pushing more often the protesting button. In ten years or so, we could probably watch large scale revolutions in at least one or two countries of Europe or North America.

Wikileaks
Wikileaks also promised to published disclosure of many more American secrets, this time they say it will be changing history. Last time was in late July. Again, wikileaks also seems to function when the cardinal climax is being triggered. So, we have wikileaks, the Korea threat, and European economic meltdown, as the key events of this cardinal climax of 2010, not so far away from what we have predicted back in 2007.

Agressive weather and natural disasters

Another manifestation of cardinal energy is that weather events become more extreme, like the Dust Bowl of the thirties. I would say cold and snowy winters, dry and hot summers. Look out for example for a very cold winter approaching. But some of the next summer might feature extreme heatwaves. Once again, we shouldn't be playing with carbon emissions! Geological phenomena (like the Icelandic volcano, or the Chile earthquake) will also occur in next years. As the collective becomes aggitated, so the planet mirrors this, giving rise to some disasters. It could be that we will become more humble in face of our planet, maybe in a couple of decades, when Neptune transits Aries.

The future

I think we will witness some relief late in 2011 and 2012, as Jupiter trines Pluto. There is still some likelyhood for civil unrest in July 2011 and July 2012 as Mars transits Gemini and Libra. After the summer of 2012, things will intensify much more. The charts of the major European countries start to become affected by the cardinal square (UK, Germany, France) as well as the US. This suggests that the economic situation will worsen by then to a scale similar to that of the great depression. It will be a complicate social situation. It's also possible that instead we see more riots in the streets because of unemployment, the stock markets could be under control but the populations facing a difficult situation. Or, we will involved in a series of regional military tensions that could break out in wars in 2013 and 2014. These are dire scenarios, I am not very confident things will stay as they are now. People under Uranus in Aries often spiral out of control.

The worse and the best

The worse of Uranus in Aries is political extremism, fanatism, violence, authoritarian tendencies (like Hitler or Stalin), nacionalism and separatism. Pretty much North Korea, Islamic extremism, Israel, China and US military and the Tea Party come to my mind. The positive side is that people will become more assertive, challenging the status quo with revolutionary ideas, freedom and independence, and also much invention, a new sort of identity and ideas. Gandhi, Darwin, Thoreau, come to my mind as examples.

We shouldn't be playing wars anymore!

Even worse could be in March 2020, Mars, Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, and South Node, conjuncted in Capricorn. This happening at a time of Uranus in 5º Taurus (last time was 1937) could mean a deadly combination. We shouldn't be risking our civilization with the threat if nuclear weapons! A more positive combination by then, is that this is also a position very often of revolutions, Pluto was in same degree during American Revolution or the Protestant Revolution in 1524. No need to worry, we have first a long and eventful decade ahead.

What a heavy and intense couple of days.
North Korea attacks South, and fears that the conflict might become an all-out war, violent student protests in London, the economic crises within Europe, particularly in Ireland, Portugal with its largest general strike today, possible being the next one to be the focus of attention, China and Russia stop using the dollar in their trade. What a couple of days of change!

Look out for the next couple of weeks.
During the past decades, many major wars have started during Mars in Capricorn.
We might see a major war breaking out in December, and more violent protests.

And watch out for the possible bank run arranged for 7th December.

Who said Saturn is limiting?

Saturn is everything but limiting. Saturn is confronting with who you really are.

Saturn only limits you if you are not being yourself!

For example, I was single before Saturn transited my 7th house, now I am committed. Saturn help me finding a meaningful and lasting relationship.

Saturn is now transiting my 9th house. Does it limit travel? Hell no! It even forces me to travel because that's my nature and true dreams. Saturn only confronts with that you already are! Is this travel because of work reasons? Also no. I am doing the travels I always dreamt to do. Saturn gives manifestation to your dreams.

Saturn can be effortless and painless.

Saturn forces you to take decisions, that's the real "pain".

It's only a pain if you're not yet living as your true self!

Pluto in Capricorn II- Uprisings against capitalism and religion, political extremism, economic proteccionism and abuses of power

What could cause this? We could think of this economical crises resulting in deeper treaties and agressive and power-abusing measures, manipulation and clashes between powers, people will be pushing world treaties, alliances, military and economic power-abusing treaties, world currencies, world governming, or at least large blocks such within Europe or North American Union. This will be dominating ideas, but not necessarly in practice in 2013-2016. As we get into 2013, defiance actions will be also happening, like Luther and Benjamim Franklin. We can think extreme political ideas like the Tea Party, independence movements in America, within Europe (think the break-up of UE, NATO or break-up of Spain, Belgium or Italy, the failure of the Euro or the Dollar).

The popular uprisings could be nationalistic, patriotic, anti-immigrant, or even arab intifadas, within Europe or the US. This will be large by 2016-2017, this will be a low point, not only economic trouble, but the large trouble now is large social unrest or even chaos, nuclear tensions or terrorist attacks, political extremism, etc. This of course will result in revolutions, sieges of wars by 2019-2023. Another trend is religious extremism, could be radical islamism within Europe (even causing sieges, terror or intifadas), or the europeans revolting against this, in patriotic movements, or even with the adoption of millitant atheism. Probably people will be protesting against religion or politics. Perhaps against capitalism, and the abuses of governments and banks, which have caused an economic recession lasting for more than 10 years in 2008-2020. Perhaps against the millitary if there is another major war (likely by 2014, or by 2019-2022). Perhaps even some environment radicalism.

Think US, England and France as countries obviously affected by this. Think India too. I also think Spain will be affected and to a smaller degree Germany. I think the US or NATO will suffer a major defeat at this time, as the British suffered against the American colonies. This could be China, North Korean, Iran or Pakistan. As this culminated into the decision world war, world revolution, world union or world chaos, this tipping point will linger between now and 2022, either global peace is enforced or there will be large wars or regional uprisings against this global status quo when Pluto transits Pisces in 2040-2080. Think for instance of Islamic uprisings or wars continuing through the next decades. Please note that I'm a firm believer in multiculturalism, freedom and pro-imigration. I don't assume that these specific events will happen, they are possible trends, based in astrological cycles. The general theme will be "uprisings", and this may or may not cause wars. This might be uprising from a economic-political basis (recession or independence) or religious (religious extremism or against religious extremism).

Another possible trend could have to do with alien disclosure, or environmental radicalism. Or it could be large climate change causing large migrations. Something will be, I just dont know clearly what. Look for the beginning of whatever this is by 2016-2022, and later even more clearly by 2033. This will have to result in either the descent into global anarchy, or global enforced peace in the middle and later part of this century.

Pluto was last time in Capricorn in 1762-1776, and Aquarius in 1777-1796.
What happened in each country at this time?

Pluto in Sagittarius brought the Seven Years War
Pluto in Capricorn brought worldwide dominance of the British Empire
Pluto in Aquarius the consumation of American and French Revolution
Pluto in Pisces the Napoleonic Wars and later the peaceful Victorian Age.

Between 1754 and 1762, France and the British Empire fought a large war in the American colonies, that later increased to become a world-wide conflict known as the Seven Years War. The Spanish, the Russians and the Austrian Empire allied with the French, while the Portuguese and Germans allied with the British. The British Empire came victorious in 1762 and claimed greater power over the colonies in North America and India.

The American Revolution occured as a consequence of the British victory and increased dominance. In 1765 a stamp act by the British created anger in the American colonies. In 1767 further taxes created more discontent. In 1770, popular revolts in Boston started which led directly to the American Revolution (such as the Boston Massacre in 1770, or the Tea Party in 1773). The Revolution was proclaimed in 1775-1776, but the Independence war lasted until 1783. The main events of the Revolutions occured then when Pluto transited between 10º Cap and 10º Aqu.

Spain declared war in British Empire in 1779, and allied with the American colonies. The British Empire lost the war, and was left with a large political crises. France was left in deep financial crises in 1776, after losing the colonies war. Spain losing the war, also become less of a global power.

At this time, Russia was having the ruthless rule of Catherine III, which sucessfully transformed Russia into a major European power. An uprising also occured there in 1773, but did not result in any revolution. Germany (Prussia at that time) also become a major European power. So the theme with Pluto in Capricorn, from these several examples is power abuse, rising to become a major power or suffering a major defeat, and being confronted with the possibility of a large revolution against the status quo.

In 1783 a volcanic winter caused by Laki Icelandic eruption, caused further trouble in most of Europe, mostly famine and popular unrest. The French Revolution started in 1789 and lasted until 1799 (Pluto in Aquarius). After 1800 (Pluto in Pisces), the Napoleonic wars devastated Europe, and many Latin and South America countries declared independence. It is also interesting how the French defeat in the Seven Years War resulted in the French Revolution and later in the Napoleonic Wars, that changed Europe. But once again, the British Empire emerged larger and victorious afterwards, originating a long lasting period of world peace that lasted until the first World War.

Before Pluto was in Capricorn in 1516-1530, and Aquarius in 1531-1550.
What happened?

Pluto in Sagittarius brought the discovery of Americas and worldwide trade
Pluto in Capricorn brought the conquest of American and Protestant revolution
Pluto in Aquarius brought the colonization of Americas by Europeans

Important events at this time were the foundation of the Spanish Habsburg Empire in 1504-1521, Luther protestant revolt in 1517-1521, the conquest of Americas by the Spanish in 1519-1521, 1522 Magellan circumnavegation trip, the German Peasant Wars in 1524, the foundation of Mughal Empire in India in 1526, the sack of Rome in 1527 and the siege of Vienna in 1529, the protestant secession of England in 1530, and the French Wars of Religion in 1562 and Eighty Years War in 1566. So, you can see the overall theme of power and dominance until 1530 (Pluto in 10º Capricorn), with revolutions, uprisings and colonization occuring after 1521 (Pluto in Aquarius), and religious wars in 1560s (Pluto in 10º Pisces).

What might happen now?

Now we can speculate that when Pluto enters 10º Capricorn in 2013, world events will start to heat up, exactly as they did at the time of unrest in 1521 and 1769, at this time the world powers will be pushing at its maximum extent its power and manipulation. Large scale uprisings will be occuring by 2016-2017, as they did in 1524-1525 and 1772-1773 (think the tea party or larger popular revolts). This will result in either revolutions, wars or sieges in 2019-2022, exactly as it did in 1527-1530, and 1775-1778.

Mars transiting through your natal chart

Transiting Mars is a very interesting cycle to follow if you keep a diary. Discover when Mars transits each of the angles of your natal chart (ASC, IC, DSC and MC) and relate to the changes that happen in your personal life. Because this cycle last 2 years, it is very important to follow several cycles and check what has happened in your life when Mars transited the same zodiacal signs.

Have you notice those coincidences? Like I had very important events related to my intimate relationships in summer 2010, summer 2008, summer 2006 and summer 2004, every 2 years, because that's when Mars transited my seventh house!

Mars transiting the 1st and 2nd house entails a new crises, where we feel to push a new direction and a new freedom and personal space.

When Mars transits the 3rd house, we already has major developments in our personal life, this is a very dynamic and active period, good for travel and meeting new people.

Mars transiting the 4th, 5th and 6th (the IC) entails another deep personal shift, very much related to the same theme of the first house, but now with significant solutions, a whole new significant inner meaning. The third of this series of articles will focus on the 3rd, 7th and 11th house. While, the fire houses (1st, 5th and 9th) relate to new beginnings, our path and personal identity, gaining motivation and new horizons, and while the earth houses (2nd, 6th and 10th) relates to the practicalities and the manifestation of those promises encountered in the fire houses, the air houses (3rd, 7th and 11th) relate to exploring further ideas beyond those worked during the transits in the earth houses, and also to more relationship and social contact.

3rd house - Redefining self identity with new ideas and exploring new activities
The house of education, communication, siblings, and short travels is not only that. If under the first house we define and set a new identity and direction, and in the second house we work to manifest that, also by defining what which we own and value, under the third house we become aware of our limitations by encountering and interacting more with the circunstances that surround us. In a word, we learn, we expand outwards. We wish communication, to explore the realms that are around us, by using what which we own and value. First we do this by living on the field of everyday experience, by trial and error, and gradually we develop our intelligence and experience. Often, transits here start with scattered ideas about ourselves, but then the ideas go deeper near the cusp of the following house. It's also under this house, that we encounter the first major social contacts. The 3rd house is a mutable and everchanging impulse under the third house, but as a transit progresses through our natal charts, this social contact will become more cardinal/important (seventh house) and finally become established by the time it reaches the fixed nature of the eleventh house. Planets or transits in this house tell us how significant it is to explore new ideas, new activities, new travels, new learning, new contacts. When planets approach the cusp of the fourth house, we are already exploring a kind of mental revolution that will go very much into our core, and change us in an important and lasting way.
I experienced this when both Saturn and Jupiter transited this house in 2000, and although I suffered a major depression, I completely changed in face of a new personal and social identity. I can also relate very well to the cycle of Uranus transiting my first, second and third house. Under the first, I completely change myself, and open up for new ideas, I began experimenting much more with life. Under the second house, this assume more the form of new relationships and a strong desire to reinvent my career. Under the third, I am seeking different forms of experiences and activities through which I can learn and define myself, exploring new interests.
Natal planets in the 3rd house will increase the impact of the vision of the interaction between ourselves and the world, and what that can do for us.

7th house - balance ourselves with the expression of ourselves in the outer world
The house of relationships, but not only. This marks the point most away from the ascendant, we are reaching towards others, and definitively this house marks a climax in social contact because planets here progress towards the tenth house. If you follow a specific transit cycle of a planet, you will notice how social activity increases as planets approach the seventh house and past this house, the focus becomes more and more global-oriented. The importance of the descendant cannot be understated. At this point, what we have set as a promise under a first house transit, now comes into major manifestation (usually at the end of the sixth house transit, which tends to be a period of a major crises), and it's kind of balancing itself. You can expect major personal, relationship and career developments with transits in the seventh house, perhaps even more that those with the fourth or tenth house. If under the first house we define a direction and an identity, under the seventh, we define both a direction and identity but while considering the relationships and the outer world around. Natal placements here will be important, as we will gravitate towards learning experiences through others, under the theme of that specific planet. The basic key of this house is to balance ourselves with the expression of ourselves in the outer world. I had transits of Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in this house: always they have related to major activity around relationships and developments in my career/personal life.

11th house - Grasp new solid visions, reform social contact and personal goals
I am so happy to write about this house. I was born with a 11th house Sun. So I am very aware of the key meaning of this house, perhaps too much because of having other personal planets here. The 11th house relates not to friendships, but to an expanded social vision. People relate to friendships because that's the easiest way to have a social contact further than that of a close intimate relationship or a traditional family setting. But that's too little. Did you know what was the traditional meaning of this house? Good fortune and wishes, and that is very true. Medieval astrologers had experience over centuries of many different lifestyles and societies, so we should not reject their empirical knowledge! What does it mean good fortune and wishes? Well, as a planet transits through the natal chart, first we define our identity and direction, then we encounter relationships and social contact, develop a social position and career, but then what? Is it only friendships what's left? No, this house is a second before the major transition that is the ascendant, when we set to begin a whole new cycle. So, this house it's kind of putting conventional ideas behind, our career and relationship at second plan, and look ahead, and envision new goals and dreams, a kind of good fortune, because this should be a direct self-expression of our being (11th house opposite 5th) but with a social focus. Humanitarian interests, group activity, grassroot movements, international environments, creative groups, self-improvement groups, political activism, all are practical manifestations of a 11th house energy. To reform our contribution to the outer world, as a higher mission. The fixed nature of the 11th house solidified ideas and visions, and social contact. The air nature of the 11th house liberates the authority, rigidity, seriousness and status of the tenth house. A key feature of this house is to develop a good balance between the individual and social contact, the community. the story goes like this: we have recently struggled to achieve (10th house). But achievement is a pedestal, how to do next with what happened before (success or failure) is now our main challenge. We seek to reform our failures, either by adopting a rebel attitude and facing social isolation, by becoming a revolutionary and a reformer, or by integrating our success with our peers, and local groups. In angular house the invididual comes to experience himself, in succedent houses he meets his greatest tests, in this case social, career and long-term goals. 1. The winter of 2010-2011 (December and January 2011)

We are before a major crises period. Global crises deepens

Conjunction Pluto and North node in Capricorn December 2010. Mars triggers cardinal T-square in mid December and Full Moon/ lunar eclipse in solstice day!. Watch out for a possible big event between mid November to mid January 2011. This is the practical manifestation following the cardinal crises of spring-summer 2010. This is kind of a shift.

However it will be only after 2013 that the world events will heat considerably! Remember that this configuration started with the Uranus, Saturn opposition in late 2008 (Obama and economic crises). This major global change is just starting. Watch for late spring, early summer 2011 as more unrest and uprisings (3-17 April and more in early July) and again in late spring and summer of 2012 (18 July). These are the very early beginnings of the revolutions or conflicts to occur within the next 20 years.

2. Powerful SHIFT between spring 2013 and spring 2014

Global crises becomes big, possible destructive trends: conflicts, riots, economic depression

Watch first for the great spring entrance of Uranus in mid Aries in spring 2013 (27 March after). Mars and Jupiter in Gemini in 2013. Then whole period September 2013 to July 2014 will be intense! Starts with conjunction Saturn and North node in Scorpio late 2013, with solar eclipse in November 2013! Both Uranus and Pluto in powerful historical points, 14 Aries and 14 Capricorn). Things will heat!

This is when major terror or regional wars might have global consequences, a deeper global recession. Something like Middle East or East Asia could be a problem. For sure there will be some major international crises relate to everything from climate, war, oil, energy, food, etc, gaining expansion from this year onwards. I call it a crises of social, economic, political, military, corporation and environmental issues. Political extremism will be in the increase as well as the start of larger uprisings.

I imagine stuff like riots in western countries, mass protests, tax revolts, scandals, banks restricting withdrawing of money, and great numbers of unemployment. This will likely affect the US and Europe. This will bring revolutions that will remembered in history, sometime within the next years. It's also likely that some sort of short-term natural disaster, like a solar flare, volcanic winter, famine or pandemic, occurs. There will be much scientific invention, brand new advances. Watch for a climax around March-May 2015. Until 2018, destructive trends, crises and pessimism transforms the world until a shift in 2019.

3. The period between spring 2019 and spring 2021.

Early signs of "revolution"

Conjunction Pluto, Saturn and South node in Capricorn in 2019. April to June 2019 is important as Mars crosses from Gemini to Cancer, to oppose this. Jupiter and Mars join the conjunction by spring 2020. This is a beginning of what will set the great events during this next decade. By April 2021, with Jupiter and Saturn moving to Aquarius, and Uranus to Gemini, the revolutionary and technological trends will start. So watch for the period between April 2019 and April 2021 for the early signs of that revolutionary wave. There can be a nuclear stand-off or a nuke blowing by this time. At the same time, the trend for larger uprisings will be developing.

4. The Revolutionary waves of 2022-2028

2022-2024, Early stages of a critical event: "revolution", "conflicts" or "something else"

Remember Uranus enters hot spot in 2022 followed by 5 years of revolutions (mid Taurus to Gemini). Summer 2022: Saturn Aquarius, Jupiter and Mars in Aries; but most important its the transition of late 2022 to early 2023 Mars retrogade in Gemini, the sense of impulse for change and revolution grows a lot now. Then comes summer 2024 to early 2025 with Mars-Jupiter in Gemini in late 2024 and the node conjunction with Neptune, Saturn in Aries in early 2025. This is a sure shift point!

2025-2030, "Revolution/event", new socio-political models, great technology expansion

July 2026 Mars again in Gemini, Saturn in power point of Aries. Slowly revolution transform into dramatic advance: July 2028 Uranus-Mars in Gemini, First months of 2029 start with power conjunction Mars-Jupiter in Libra. "Revolutions" will occur within this window frame, either as a crescendo or some event that results in major global transformational consequences. Almost for sure, the US will suffer a great reconstruction, this can be something like a break-up of the country, a second America revolution or civil war or the formation of the New America Union.

Around the world, the socio-political structures will change greatly. Of course, European countries will also face serious transformations. New models, new world treaties. This can be either the break-up of our civilization into further anarchy or towards a unified world government. This is also a likely time for alien disclosure, with all its major implications. Independently of this, great scientific advances will occur (stuff like new forms of energy, transportation and communication). I also think something epic like the first humans landing on Mars, ET life found, human cloning, etc. As 2030-2032 comes, revolutions transforms into a new structure, new socio-political-economic models, and a new idealism.

In my humble position, I can assure you that most above will probably occur in some manner. I spent many hours, many days, several years with these cycles and predictions. While there is the free-will from every individual, there are also important energetic and historical patterns involved that indicate major shifts for our civilization ahead around 2013 and again in 2025.

Sometimes, it's amazing the accuracy of certain astrological transits and degrees.

11º Sagittarius is my natal MC. Today Mars transited this and I quit my job because of another offer. It was a huge event. 2 Years I was busy starting looking for a new job I couldn't find. 4 years ago, I moved to another country. And 6 years ago, it was the first day I went living abroad! Amazing! Always in same degree!

And I have more examples. Several times the transiting Sun passed this degree, in the first days of December, I felt the rush to do something else in my career. This is partially because I have Uranus natally placed in 2º Sagittarius, close to the MC.

When Pluto transited my 11º Sagittarius MC in early 2000, I entered University and suffered a major depression; a smashing long-lasting transit, that changed me completely. When Saturn opposed that degree in 2001, I was applying to move abroad for the first time; when Jupiter transited same degree in mid 2007, I quit a former job, and decided to move again abroad. It's amazing the same theme recurring again and again, under the same degree.

Warning! BIG CHANGES predicted for December 2010! North Node and Mars conjunct Pluto

This is something that most astrologers are missing!

Between November 2010 and January 2011, North Node conjuncts Pluto and triggers the cardinal T-square, while at a same time Mars join the pair and later a Full Moon (and lunar eclipse) on the solstice day. This is a major event, as big as last August's cardinal climax.

The implications of this are huge. Watch out for significant karmic/fate developments around this time: remember November 2010 to January 2011. This applies both to our personal lives and to world events. The first weeks of December will be highly charged. I can't remember of a Christmas time with so much intense astrological configurations.

Some major economic, political or military event, this November or December?

In global affairs, I don't know exactly what this means, but watch for some powerful, potentially destructive events, because Pluto is involved, and with global implications, because this occurs in Capricorn. Two possibilities are another economic meltdown or a new war. Alternatively there might be a big scandal, or some other sort of crises. It may involve banks, governments, corporations or the military, because this the node conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn. At worse, this can be a serious economic crises, popular revolts, a war or a terrorist attack. A major natural disaster is another probable scenario. These are just possibilities and maybe might will happen, but still I think at least one of these things will make major headlines this November or December. Remember, the windows of possibility occurs during the whole period, starting now and until January, although Mars also joins the pair in the first two weeks of December, adding intensity and dynamics.

Those who have personal planets or angles, in the last degrees of mutable signs and early degrees of cardinal signs could feel this as a particularly intense, challenging and dynamic period!

Watch out those born between 18 and 27 December, 18-27 June, 18-27 March and 18-27 September. Pay attention to what happened during the last weeks of July to determine what this might be about.

I can give you examples of previous time when the nodes conjuncted a cardinal alignment. Between spring 1968 and summer 1969 (south node conjuncts Uranus in Libra), in 1991 (conjunction north node with Uranus, Neptune and Saturn in Capricorn), in early 1931 (conjunction north node and Uranus in Aries). Other interesting examples: WWII started when south node conjuncted Saturn, and ended when north node conjuncted Saturn in Cancer, Pluto was conjuncted south node in Cancer in the Russian Revolution of 1917, south node conjuncted Uranus and Pluto in Aries in the revolutions of 1847 and 1848, north node conjuncted Saturn and opposed Pluto during the 911 attacks.

The Moon, emotions waxing and waning; psychologists, astrologers and victims of depression

Hello all, sometimes someone is born with such a natal chart, that she or he is very sensitive emotional person. She or he will respond very much to the Moon cycles, and if not aware of this, she or he might run to the doctor thinking she or he has depression or bipolar disease, or some kind of hormonal problem.

So often happens for these people, victims of emotions, to loss themselves under the fogs of Neptune, drugs and psychologists. The victim suffers and becomes addicted, and tampered with chemicals, while the doctor and the pharmaceutical industry profits.

They are so ignorant and blind to the natural cycle of emotions and energy that we go a monthly and daily basis, because of the Moon influences. If you are a particular sensitive soul, all that is takes is a specific position or transit from the Moon, and there it goes depression or irritation again! Particular sensitive souls can be those who are Cancers, Scorpios or Pisces, or have a water sign Moon or rising.

If you develop an awareness of how the Moon cycles, from new Moon to full Moon, and through the astrological houses of your chart, you will understand this cycle of emotions. Better even: you will EXPERIENCE the cycle, and be able to pinpoint WHY you feel a specific way. You will be also able to predict when some sort of emotion comes.

An excellent ideas would be follow the cycle from New Moon to Full Moon. At New Moon its when our souls are naturally withdrawn and more sensitive, when seeds for future events are planted, in our psyche. As the Moon waxes, our emotions develop, in general its a constructive and expanding period, and this culminates around Full Moon, as emotions are at their maximum power in terms of outer expression, so this is when the typical mania or irritation state can happen. If you are still sceptic, just compare what happens in parties at Full Moon with other days. Around the Full Moon, things just tend to be more crazy and expressed. Then, as Full Moon goes back to New Moon, introversion comes again, and this can be a period of deconstruction, so if we are particularly sensitive souls, we might feel depressed, or feel self-destructive tendencies. We might be craving more during this period, because the waning Moon is a period to go inwards, to meditate and listen to ourselves. The depression will be not more than a sign that you are not listening to yourself, so your inside just screams emotions, begging your conscious soul to pay attention to the unconscious.

A more thematic idea would be to follow the transit of the Moon through the astrological houses of your horoscope natal chart. This will be the topic of another future post, but in short if the Moon is transiting at some of the water houses (4th, 8th or 12th houses) that can also explain why you feel more sensitive, irritative or emotional in that specific couple of days. That happens so often with me. Knowing this cycle allows me to understand whether sometimes the issue is more career-based, focused in relationships, or just a matter of exploring some part of my inner being.
Your awareness of the Moon passage through the Zodiac and the astrological houses will enable you to discover a basic structure of energy patterns that underlies the circumstances of your life. This is actually the purpose of a good astrologer, and his or her main objective is to reveal an order or meaning beneath or within what often appears to be a random or chaotic situation of emotions and impetus. The Moon passage through the housing system is the expression of a cycle of 12 archetypal structures that relate to our life themes (self, values, education, family and roots, self-expression, service, relationships, intimacy, expansiveness, career, ideals and transcendence).

If I know where you are, Moon, I never feel lost. I always know the way.

A personal assay about the 2nd , 6th and 10th house

In this article, the second of its series, we will discuss about the earth astrological houses of the natal chart: the 2nd house, the 6th house and the 10th house. The earth houses are more complicated for me to define, because I have less influence of Earth element in my natal chart, and my only two earth placements is Moon in Virgo and Uranus in MC.

2nd house - Estabilishing that which we value in life
I want to contrast this house with its tradicional meaning. Maybe that's because I have Uranus transiting this house, and so I see things with a different lens. The second house comes after the first, where you made a stand to define your path. So, naturally, you will work out the practical details of that choice under the second house. It's all about this, it's not about money. It's about money for people that value money as an important thing. It's about criativity to those who value criativity, it's about nature, to those who value nature. You see, that which you define as your goals under the first house, you come to work with, under the second house. For me, the second house, even brings something that not many considered. I am a spiritual person. I often go through deep meditations when I have transits over the 12th house. So, naturally, under second house transits, I change my values, because I meditate more (this is a house of more inner focus, compared to the first house), and I gain, under this house, practical spiritual insights. For me, this is also a house of nature, of peace, contemplation, typical Buddah style (the story of Buddah is in fact a second house/Taurus story). And resources are not money (money can be of course a resource, but resources are that which you own, and that includes your talents, your working skills, etc). 6th house - Working practicalities
My partner has Sun in sixth house, and she's a Virgo. I met her when Saturn was transiting my sixth house. The sixth house is a natural house of service. But there is more. Yes, you could say "duty", because under the fifth house you express yourself uninhibited, and then you realize that you must bring groundness, manifesting, stabilizing, Earth element to that fiercy element of the fifth house. Generally, this house can provoke a crises, because it forms a quinquncx to the ascendant, and sixth house challenge us to question what is worth in life. Which issues do we have pending and we have to manifest, finish, work out? Which details? Is this something worth? Go, in my own life, I of course, work more under the sixth house, I finish unfinished tasks, I question the worth of the stuff I do, I break relationships, or assume new compromises. Can you picture "working practicalities" of the second house, but now with a more relationship/social focus? Can you picture "working practicalities" of the pleasure/impulse of fifth house? It does not have to be work, routine or bad health. Crises happens because something is not workable. And why is this house so often charged? Why? Because it it just before the powerful angle of the descendant! I always have important chnges when planets transit the sixth house that tend to sort of take a new direction, when that planet enters the seventh house. The sixth house prepares for life (especially interpersonal life), by working out practicalities. Some examples: I live first abroad when Jupiter transited my sixth house; I changed a lot of what I consider important in my life when Saturn transited my sixth house (job and relationshipwise).

10th house - Confronting our own choices
I have so much squeezed the diaries I keep writting in my life and I see that the square to the ASC is the true cusp of the tenth house! And do you realize that all earth house make a trine to the tenth house cusp, but difficult aspects to the ASC? That's because they are all about manifesting, about going within, and confronting/manifesting outside, which is of slight different nature than the pure positive enthusiast criative impulse of fire houses. Under the tenth house, we observe the most intense aspect of all earth houses to the ascendant! That's why the tenth house is the most important and powerful of all earth houses! (by the way that also happens for the fourth house, the IC). And do you see: the manifestation has to come at the end, because it is expressed outwards, it a process of gradual effort and work that goes outside. And voilá, tenth house is the last of earth houses, and the most powerful one. For fire house, the most powerful is the first, because the self impulse comes from the inside (so it has to be the first house the most powerful creative self-defining impulse). For water houses, this also applies, and why, because the impulse is also an inner one!

Insights apart, the tenth house is one of final manifestation. It's time to finish all practicalities, and to look forward to next project (you cannot go higher than this, the cycle will be about to begin again in the first house). By now, it is asked of us, that we confront authority, that we actually become the authority. The demanding father we have, now should be us. So, exactly like the first house (and in true cardinal style) take a stand, but a practical one. See the practicalities, the details, the working structures of the society. You are about to grow mature as never as before. Under transits of this house, I got promoted, I finished practical affairs, I clash with authority and experienced being a leader too, I realize some of the possible new goals in my life. It is so typical of earth house to question between career and relationships, between stability and freedom. Because it's practicalities. But we don't have to put career before relationships, career should be our self-fullfilment and that might include serious relationships or building a family, that might include breaking those or a job, or it might persuit more freedom, while still doing something worth and practical. When you get to the eleventh house, you will persuit liberation, so watch out not to commit to a boring job now or delude yourself under a carrer.

I think that there are easier transits under this house: Saturn transiting here is a major point of reassessing, manifesting in your life and in what you do. Uranus is liberating and makes you defend your own stand and unique path (I have natal Uranus in my MC). Neptune transiting here is much more complicate; by its dissolving influence, we might feel loss in facing society, but this might be a blessing in desguise, by making us connect more with our inner powers, and express them outside (maybe even using them as a work).

2nd house: establishing that which we decide to value under the first house
6th house: challenges prepare us for life, by working practicalities at a more interpersonal level
10th house: final manifestation, confronting life, the status of who I am, make a practical stand (become your own authority directing your life)

Do you know what's supposed to learn when planets transit in each house? I always see that astrologers create many trivial generalizations. However we have to go DEEPER.

This is another new series that I will explore.
What is the purpose behind each house? And examples of planets transiting there.
But not from the conventional astrological perspective. I removed apart of those.
Instead this is based from my own experience, which is based in meditation, observation and contemplation of what happens under each transit.

Have you notice that all fire houses make a trine to ascendant?

1st house - Defining a new path and who we are
The ascendant, 1st house, relates to a new beginning, to the unfolding of the "I", the unfolding of the "Self", so every time we have a transit in our first house, we reevaluate our sense of being, we take a stand, we are more bold. Sometimes this creates crises because we demand more, or we clash with others. We want to break free, we want to be our own selfs. So, this is not a house (or transit) to be lazy. Instead we should take that stand and move ahead, feel that there is action developing in our live. Very often, a stand taken will initiate a whole new process (you can see this very well when Mars transits your first house, there is a crises, that initiates a new theme). This is also a new promise. You don't even want to compare with a Uranus transit through first house (that is a whole brand new beginning for your life!) or Neptune (a brand new inspiration for your life, a kind of long-lasting inner revolution, a time for great new ideals and spirituality). Also, every time of the year that the Sun transits your rising sign is always a time for new beginnings. If you natal Sun in your first house, you will be very focus in defining yourself and your life. If you have Uranus, this creates an even more bold and striking character. Pluto located in first house will bring you a ever-transformating deep and powerful attitude in life. So, in summary, the first house is about making a move, defining and making a stand for our path and how we defines ourselves.

5th house - Seeking stable self-expression and enthusiasm
The 5th house, making a trine to the ascendant is again about action. While in water houses (such as the 4th) we go deeper, inward, inside, in the fire houses we go outside, we move, we create, we initiate, we express ourselves. But "action" truly begins with an inner impulse under the water houses. On the fifth, it's a perfect house not to get lazy (another tendency under fifth house) and to do that which truly makes you joyful! Enjoy, have fun, take pleasure and adventure activities, express yourself through art, travel, party, or just taking great enthusiastic moves, in your life. If you are looking for something, this is the time again to go after that, to make a practical action, to take a bold step in that new direction you want. You can follow this every month, by watching when does the Moon transits the fifth sign counting from your ascendant: it entails a couple of days where there is a potencial for some great decisions or great times. Or for example transiting Mars under the fifth house is also a time of fun, enthusiasm forward, and great decisiveness. Even transiting Saturn over the fifth house, will create significant revolutions of the way you conduct your life, for a more true expression of yourself. Natal planets placed in the fifth house will bring forward great creative impulses, a little bit accordingly to the planet energy. And why so much focus in pleasure, criativity, enthusiasm? Because this is a fixed house, of a fire nature, it has to fixate (stabilize) the self-manifesting, self-directing impulse of the first house. The best way? More enthusiasm! Fun! What better ways to motivate steadly ourselves!

9th house - Going larger than ourselves
It is in the 9th house, that the fundamental self-centered impulse of 1st and 5th house goes transcended. Now we think already more about others (after the transits of 6th, 7th and 8th houses). We go boldy to want to move to something new, something that if possible encompasses a great diversity of that which we are. Hence, the travel impulse, the academic/learning impulse, the philosophical and religious impulse. It is a multi-cultural impulse, it's great for making travel plans, to take grand adventures abroad or in group, for that great new project abroad. Picture transiting Jupiter here and you have yourself travelling more than usual, and open to new grand ideas. Transiting Saturn makes you confront with the need to grow and expand, even you have to quit a job or a relationship. Transiting Uranus will be very bold, going for travels and grand new ideas. It's a similar situation if you have planets in the natal 9th house; they will all make you want to grow and expand further, even Saturn. Do you see something that is now larger than you? You want absolutely to grow! Preferably as with all fire houses, it should be something that still makes you feel free, because freedom is essence to fire houses, by allowing our uninhibited self-expression.

1st house: make a stand, to define your new path, your new self (a new promise)
5th house: express yourself, express through joy (stabilizing the enthusiastic and self-manifesting impulse)
9th house: travel plans, go larger than you are

Aries, first sign of Zodiac: the young fire that burns!

The first signs of the Zodiac are related to our concept of self-identification. These signs are called personal signs, the individuals come face to face with their own Self, with the creative power within themselves accordingly to the sign element. Aries are blessed with fire. Fire relates to our inner impulse (will) and it is also ego. Therefore Aries trusts and very well in his/her hunches. The cardinal fire energy of the sign relates to its dynamism, movement, motivation and optimism, strengh, honesty and courage, self-confidence and assertiveness to go ahead, to create a dynamic life.

Because of this, Aries are often intelligent, bright and sucessful individuals. The dangers in Aries are those of a misuse of overidentification with the ego, being self-centeredness, pride and arrogance, and those of a misuse of the will aspect, such as agressive or manipulative behavior, and forcing one will's over another. Ideally an Aries is a self-reliant, independent, dynamic individual, very inventive, bright but still friendly, inspiring, balanced, diplomatic and helpful. The qualities of Libra form a balancing pair.

Compared to other fire signs, the fire in Aries burns like a recently lit bonfire (a strong, young and all motivated new beginning, willing to spread around), while the fire of a Leo is more of a mature powerful shining bonfire (the beauty, the stability of that warm), and the fire of a Sagittarius, the hot coal in a bonfire (the controlled heat, burning inside, gently warm with a relentlessly persistence). The fire of Aries is particularly strong as we move into the late degrees of the sign, even exerting an influence in the early degrees of the next sign.

Astrology, mental disorders and psychological problems. A clash between the elements of the psyche

Mental disorders are more common than we think. And a very touchy subject as well. Nearly every of us had, has or will have at least some symptons of some sort of psychological disorder. Even if it's only mild depression or anxiety. Some of us even have control issues, manias and other disorders, that we are not aware of. Mental disorders are a dramatic part of life, in a society that is unbalanced and unhelpful for the people affected by these problems. There is also much misundertanding of what is really a mental disorder. For instance, many genious suffered from mania and were bipolar. Perhaps people suffering from this would do better to explore their psyche. Perhaps to understand what would they need to explore in order to be better express themselves. Do we live in a society that encourage us to explore our full potential? My answer is a no.

I am against conventional treatment for "mental disorders". Everyone has "mental disorders" because everyone has unintegrated and unbalanced portions of the psyche. I consider the concept of bipolar disease to be ridicule, psychologists don't understand the creative right-brain part of the brain. They want to medicate everyone suffering from depressive or stimulated states, when in fact these states serve a function. Isn't it normal a high-energy Aries and Gemini, or a meditative contemplative Scorpio or Pisces? Psychologist don't paint, psychologists don't meditate! However i agree when such behavior crosses the link and becomes a risk to close ones and to the life of the individual. But clinical psychologists don't do well with just medicating. We are all given drugs to become "normal" people, similar to each other.

But there is hope. I see a damaging psychological disorder as a misuse of specific aspects of our psyche. We all have different elements within our personality, sometimes they are very contradictory and difficult to express and this can lead to trouble, when we cannot find outlets for them. Astrology helps us understand what is going on, and how to better express those inner dramas, it help us to recognize what are those elements and which outlets they need.

Linking psychological disorders to Astrology

My initial thoughts concerning psychological problems would be to link severe melancholy and depression to Saturn (perhaps in hard aspects to the Moon, Sun and Mercury), bipolar disease linked to Gemini, while mania and madness linked to uncontrolled Uranus and (possibly unexpressed) Mars. Nervous breakdowns can be linked either to Uranus, Mars or Mercury. Eccentricity and genious to Uranus. Speech disorders to Mercury. Unbalanced Mars can also lead to neurotic behavior, as well as hard aspects to Pluto, Aries or Libra. This could also lead to criminal activities, rage or rape. Pluto can lead to psychological breakdowns, uncontrolled emotions and control issues. Hard aspects between Saturn and Mars can lead also to sexual frustation. Unbalanced Neptune energy can lead to schizophenia, hallucinations, delirium, religious cults, strange beliefs, delusional behavior and drug abuse. Unbalanced Jupiter can also lead to maniac, fanatism and delusional behavior. Hard aspects to Saturn and Venus can also lead to lack of self-confidence.

Let's look at different famous people who had nervous disorders:

Newton was a bipolar, having often rage periods and nervous breakdowns, besides being a great genious. He had Uranus in ascendant, and Mars in DSC. Both are very strong energies, very "maniac", and need to be expressed under a very dynamic and experimental lifestyle. His Uranus in Scorpio ASC relates to very intense deep underlying emotional currents. In contrast, he was also a Capricorn and with a tight Saturn square Mercury, both of which give strong inclination for melancholy. So, in his case we have a personality under deep contradiction between the uncontrolled excess of both Uranus and Mars, and the other melancholy energies. Furthermore, he was a Gemini (bipolar) Moon (moods), and the Sun on his third house increase even more his mental energies. He was one of greatest physicians of our history, but also an alchemist and teologian, dwelling in strange biblical end of the world theories and occultism. On his final years he became an eccentric, while having Uranus transiting his ascendant. He die when he had the Uranus return, and other outer planets transited all water houses: Saturn transited his IC, Neptune the 8th house and Pluto his 12th house.

Beethoven was a bipolar, maniac, suffering from melancholy and being a great musical genious. Again, we find the maniac signatures: Beethoven had an opposition between his Sun/Mercury and Mars, in 8th house and in Gemini. Like Newton, he was a Scorpio ascendant, with his Sun in the cusp of the third house. Once again, strong Gemini and third house influence, and a difficult Mars aspect. His Uranus was also close to DSC, and Saturn in MC. Both were in strong angles and in square. Beethoven had a Moon in Sagittarius square to Neptune. This might give another musical signature, creativity and also his psychotic delusions.

Van Gogh, was a maniac painter, strongly bipolar, suffering delusional behavior, epiletic episodes, self-mutilation and drug abuse. Mars in Pisces, a strong emotional energy, was in square to his conjuntion Moon/Jupiter in Sagittarius. This a difficult combination of emotions, which probably explain his delusional behavior and extreme anxiety. In addition, his Sun in Aries and the Moon/Jupiter in Sagittarius further explain the maniac behavior. His Sagittarius Moon/Jupiter shows well his tendency to travel and wander, and paint landscapes. This contrast to his Cancer rising. The stark contrast between water and fire explain his strong bipolar disorder. Van Gogh only became an artist in 1880 and committed suicide in 1890. During these periods, he was having important transits at 5º Virgo (Uranus - when he became an artist), and 5º Virgo (Saturn) and 5º Gemini (Pluto/Neptune when he committed suicide). This seems to be a sensitive degree for his chart. In most of his life were marker by Uranus transiting his 1st, 2nd and 3rd houses, and Neptune and Pluto transiting his tenth house. This shows well the confusing path he took. Uranus squared his Moon and opposed his Sun, during some of its difficult moments, and when he emerged as an artist. When Uranus transited his IC, he began suffering from delirium and having his psychological breakdown.

Other people suffering from bipolar disease include Linda Hamilton, a famous actress: she has a T-square between Jupiter, Mars in Pisces, and Moon in Gemini. Dr. Kay Redfield Jamison, a clinical psychologist: he has a T-square between Sun in Gemini, Moon in Pisces, and Neptune; and a Saturn-Mercury conjunction. Maurice Bernard, an actor, has Sun in Pisces opposed by Uranus, and a T-square between his Moon, Neptune and a Saturn-Mercury conjunction. Thom Yorke, from Radiohead, has an opposition between his Libra Sun and a Moon/Saturn conjuntion. Iggy Pop, has a Mars/Mercury Aries conjunction, opposed by Neptune,and also Sun/Moon in Aries in square to Saturn!

Our examples seem to show that bipolar disorders are linked to a strong contrast between unbalanced Fire/Air and Water/Earth elements. This could be a conflict between a strong Uranus and Saturn, a strong and badly aspected Mars and Sun, or a badly aspected Moon in Sagitarius and Gemini.

John Nash was a mathematical genious suffering from schizophrenia. His difficult natal charts placements relate a Gemini Sun located in his 12th house, with a conjuntion of Pluto and Mercury in his Cancer rising, which is square to his MC Uranus! He also had a Mars-Moon conjunction in Aries. Lionel Aldridge, a football player, also suffered from schizophrenia. He had a square between Mars in Sagittarius and a conjunction Moon/Neptune. Once again, we find all these contrasting elements in psychosis behavior.

Lincoln and Churchill

Both suffered form severe depressions. Lincoln had a Capricorn rising, with a Capricorn Moon, this is enough for a character prone to melancholy. Depression comes when two other difficult aspects add to the chart. He also a Saturn/Neptune conjunction in square to his Mercury. And his Mars in square to his Capricorn Moon! As a curious fact, Lincoln was assassinated when Saturn conjuncted his MC and natal Mars.

Churchill had a Moon in 12th house, this can give unexpressed emotions. He had a Virgo rising and a sextile between Sun and Saturn which add seriousness and melancholy. This is difficult for a Sagittarius. Furthermore, he had Uranus in square to Mercury (nervous tension), and Pluto opposed Mercury (heavy thought). Interestingly, he was having Neptune transiting his rising, when he was a president during WWII (. Both Lincoln and Churchill had Mars in angular houses, which relate to their millitant and political occupations.

Shawn Colvin is a songwritter that suffered a major long depression. She is a Capricorn, with a major Saturn/Mars conjunction squared by Pluto and Jupiter. Kurt Cobain, from Nirvana, has Sun in Pisces square to Neptune (drug abuse and confusion), square between Moon and Saturn (depression) and Uranus and Pluto opposite to Mercury (nervous tension and suicidal tendency). He also has a Mars in square to Jupiter (he also suffered bipolar disease).

Our examples seem to link depression to difficult positions of the Moon, a strong Saturn and Capricorn, difficult aspects of Saturn and Neptune, and natal Mercury forming hard aspects to outer planets. Mania is linked to unbalanced Uranus, Jupiter and Mars. It is very interesting to see that artists seem more prone to mania and psychosis, while politics to depression.

I do recommend for people looking for answers to their problems, to look further to Astrology and also for Anthrosophy communities. Mars transiting through your natal houses! A meaningful cycle!

I took several hours to write and review the essay below. It is the work of several months based on the powerful effects of transiting Mars under our natal houses. It is a very important cycle, that not many give attention to. It is a clear pacemaker of our lives, connected with our personal purposes, relationships and careers. Enjoy the read. Mars transiting your 1st house to 4th house

At this time, there is a challenge in your time. You challenge your the direction your life is taking. Because of this, crises often arises. And a new impulse, a new promise. Often there is a need for freedom and for the new. Mars tends to be impulsive, we want to move ASAP. However despite immediate action, there is not an immediate realization of our own goals. Normally, this will manifest within the next 6-12 months (there will be much more happening later, affairs and details to deal, etc). Relationships and jobs can suffer because of extra impulsiveness. This is an highly charged period, so conflicts can also arise. Still whatever you begin/apply for now, it will be worth later. This can be a very dynamic period.

As Mars transits your second house, you begin grasping a more clear and solid plan. You take action. There is a new path ahead, for example a new job, that will manifest fully within the next months. Mars transiting the third house increases quite significantly our social life, we go out more, we express ourselves more, we meet new people (romantic involvements are more likely) and we travel more.

Mars transiting your 4th house to 7th house

Under these transits we turn inwards looking for answers. Often we are presented with a dillema in our lives, for example between career and relationships (following the themes that developed since the first house transit). We want something meaningful (or perhaps we want the freedom that we crave so much under the first house transit, but we also crave security now so we adopt a compromise between both). And so we are pressed to make (sometimes important) choices and compromises. This can be an emotionally heavy time and relationships can break up. Still, relationships will become an important theme later, under the seventh house transit. Because we change, frequently we also change our place of residence!

Mars transiting the fifth can be a joyful, socially and active period. Criativity, emotions, romance will be increased. Often this feels as a completely brand new period! As Mars transits the sixth house we also actively apply our energy in our worklife, acomplishing a lot in our current job, or sometimes looking for a new job, we might be asked for an important new direction in our career. We are working for the practical solution to the problem related to the crises of the first house transit. Sometimes there is even a deep shorted crises (like questioning the direction and worth of our path and affairs) or we find out a brand new (and more worth) path for our lives. We often act upon that under the seventh house transit.

Mars transiting your 7th house to 10th house

Relationships are in focus. We meet people that will be significant in our lives. We are fully engaged with the people around us. This is often the maximum of social involvement of the cycle. Often whatever crises occurred under the first house, it is now balanced, with a solution. For example, we might have a compromise, opportunity for new project or relationship.

Mars transiting eighth house brings further involvement in relationships. Often there are intense social experiences. Also spiritual interest begins now to have a more important (and perhaps new) dimension, and will during the next 6-12 months. Mars transiting the ninth can add extra travel and enjoyment; we look for new horizons, some new big dreams. Social involvement is still significant.

Mars transiting your 10th house to 1st house

Now we are pressed to evaluate our life. Shall we compromise our present direction, or break free. We feel unsure and we confront that feeling. We are faced in reclaiming authority over our lives, and confronting many issues in our lives, such as the solidity of our intimate relationships or jobs. Because of the tenth house saturn-like energy, we can face conflicts with authority or the family. We might be required to spend considerable energy taking practical steps in our career (just as one example, if we are unemployed we seek a new job, if we are employed, we want a new commitment). We may envision a new path ahead (that we discover under the ninth house transit), but that still lies ahead. This might be a cause of conflict later (in the first house). Often, under this transit, life changes quite significantly (new job, residence, place, even a new challenge). And this is the reason of extra energy required (we might want to adjust to the "society" or "job" around.

As Mars progresses into the 11th and 12th house, we drawn ourselves away from society, we might feel more socially alienated, we explore lifestyle alternatives, and still we spend energy seeking what society might offer us, we meditate more (also connecting more with nature or with our most loved dreams), until the new impulse, challenge and personal crises of the first house. Of course, the alienation, and dreams from this period will colour the first house challenge.

I based this under several cycles that Mars has made in my own chart during the past years. I used my diary to observe its effects. Please feel free to comment.

Inner dialogues with Saturn, Uranus and Neptune

This is what has been happening to me right now, while having a Saturn Return, Uranus transiting diverse natal planets, and Neptune transiting first house. All powerful transits.

First Saturn asks:

"What is worth for you? Where do you stand now, and where you do want to go?"

" Take time my friend. Evaluate every aspect of your life. Career, Money, Relationship, What do you want to be"

Saturn warns: " Under a Saturn Return, you learn: You must be yourself"

" Under a Saturn Return, you learn: You must make important decisions"

" It's not easy, because you have to weight all pros and cons"

And advices: " Be realistic, have faith, preservate with effort, make those all-important decisions. Build your future now." " The key is building something worth on your life. Like the responsability of following a specific career, having a child, serving others, etc. That could be your structure."

Uranus then asserts:

"Freedom is of utmost importance" Remember "Freedom!"

"You must act without regard of what others expect from you"

"You must follow your own intuition" "Often, alone"

"You must be free to act as yourself, be yourself, do the stuff that truly makes you happy"

" Re-invent your life accordingly to that"

And advices: "Don't be afraid to take risk, only by taking risks, you can persuit that new life which will open you new doors"

Finally, Neptune whispers:

"No action. Don't act. I mean don't act forcefully. Perfect action is effortless, is inspired"

" Just feel, connect with your true intuition, that little inner voice"

" That voice is never wrong, it knows what is best for you"

Looks spiritual. But Neptune adds: " Just feel gratitude. by raising our vibration (happiness) you will attract those stuff you want more easily. Let it flow"

" You probably feel confused. Don't waste time struggling with rational thinking. You will never reach a conclusion about what makes you happy. Instead live in the moment, in the here and now, let yourself be inspired and persuit that which makes your soul smile with joy."

Remember those words "Intuition", "Inspired", "Flow"

Big Shift coming! 11-21 December 2011: next period of intense energy

This year is featuring a lot of periods of very intense astrological energy: 15-25 March, 20-26 June, 26 July - 10 August. Also events: not only economic crises, but environmental disasters.

Another period is due. 11-21 December. On the 11th December, transiting Mercury and Mars will trigger the T-square, then there will be a lunar eclipse!

During the next two months, very intense astrological energy follows. The lunar Nodes will conjunct with Pluto and activate the cardinal T-square between Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. This indicates a potencial and eminent BIG SHIFT!

Last time, the lunar Nodes conjuncted with important astrological configurations were:

- March 1931: during a cardinal T-square very similar to the one occuring now. After the initial crash in 1929, the economy was recovering but after this period just entered a period of major depression and social chaos.

- October 1968 - July 1969: a period full of social revolts, and major world events such as Woodstock or the race to put the first man on the Moon.

What about now?

What will happen after November?

Expect at least increased social revolts and intense social, economic and political unstability.

Maybe a new volcanic eruption or natural disaster. This is only the beginning of the great cardinal energy of the 2010s and 2020s.

And watch out on your personal life!

This period will be as intense as the cardinal climax of July and August.

Uranus, Aquarius, 11th house and social alienation

I currently have Uranus squaring my 11th natal Sun.

In addition, I have natally Uranus in MC and an Aquarius rising.

How can't I stop but to feel social alienation?

I stand by my own position and dreams.

And close friends, family, colleagues, say repeatedly I should follow the conventional path.

That it brings no money, and not suiting my status or background.

People like to tell others what to do.

This is not helpful, nor ethical.

Who knows what best for you? Only you!

One should only help another, if requested, and by helping the other to find its own way.

People should not be telling others what to do.

Mature individuals assume their own responsability and path.

The Uranus energy wants to contribute to social reform.

Because it sees a social order that is not fair, and a stagnant order.

It does not care with having financial stability or social status.

If the Uranus individual wants to follow this, since it has a pure motivation...

And does so, in a positive constructive way, e.g. by working with NGOs, planting trees, or doing volunteering and humanitarian work...

This is unconventional but it is a service to mankind and to the planet.

Why should my friends, family, be disencouraging me of doing this?

That is very so the nature of 11th house, Uranus and Aquarius:

uniqueness, the individual versus the group, social alienation, social reform

In a world of much unbalance, both environmentally and socially

Humanitarian work is more than needed!

Uranus in Pisces and Aries influence: natural disasters at a mass scale

Uranus transiting Pisces and Aries, usually causes lots of unstability in the world: both socially and economically. Major depressions, revolts, revolutions and wars have happened during these transits.

But it's not the only thing. It also causes big scale natural disasters, like it happened during the Dust Bowl (Uranus in Aries), Spanish flu (Uranus in Pisces), the Irish famine (Uranus in Aries) or the Black Plague (Uranus in Aries).

Since Uranus entered Pisces (2003-2010) we have already suffered big natural disasters like the european deadly-heatwave (2003), Indonesia tsunami (2004), Katrina hurricane (2005), Chinese earthquake (2008), and several threating pandemics that never caused a big trouble (SARS, Bird flu, or Pandemic flu).

But wait! 2010 has an even longer list of natural disasters with global impact:

- Record cold winter

- Chile earthquake and tsunami

- Eyjafjallajökull eruption disrupts flights

- Deadly heatwave in Russia (biggest ever)

- Record floods in Pakistan

- Gulf of Mexico: biggest ever oil spill in a ocean

- Hungary toxic spill: one the biggest natural disasters in Europe

Seems Uranus wants insistently to show the deadly effects of messing up with Mother Nature.

Climatic change is worsened by human carbon emissions and cutting forest.

The toxic/oil spills are the irresponsability of corporations with disregard for the environment.

What is a Saturn Return

A Saturn return happens when Saturn return to the same position it occupied when you were born. This is transiting Saturn in conjuntion to natal Saturn and occurs when we are 29, 58 and 87. Saturn returns are major periods of change, one of the most important in our lives.

Major adjustments

During these periods, major adjustments occur in our lives. We take a big look to ourselves and confront our problems in almost all facets of live. We change our jobs, we are raised promotions in our career, we make serious commitments and end others. Many people for instance have their first child during this time, marry for the first time, or divorce their first marriage.

Assuming responsability over our own lives

If it's a conscious process, the individual reaccess what he has been living and he might realize that some things have to change. Perhaps it's time to end some commitments that are not working in our lives. Perhaps, it's time to follow a new direction. Often it's a time to start building our goals and dreams, in a serious committed way. You reflect in your individual destiny. You examine your true needs, desires and what you want to be in life. Even for people that are not conscious of this process, they often go through the same new beginnings and endings. It's like a cycle that is ending, and a new one is about to begin. Often, this is about assuming the responsability over own our lives.

A gradual process

A Saturn return is a difficult and painfully gradual process. In the years before the exact transit, at 29 or 58, a crescendo of our personal events leads to different interests and directions, and as the Saturn return approaches, we are confronted with these many issues. For most of us, we are ending a stage of life that is familiar and embarking on another one that is untried and unknown. This is painfull. Different commitments are ended, remodelled and newly established.

Saturn return themes

The major theme of a Saturn return will be determined by the house is placed natally. Individuals having their Saturn return in the first house could be questioning their basic identity, self-assertion, way of being and directing their own lives. In the sixth house, the individual may feel frustations in his work and daily life, perhaps feeling tired, stressed or sick, thus requiring major changes on his life. A Saturn return in the seventh house could revolve around relationship issues. I am currently having the (first) Saturn return in the ninth house. During the past years I have been living in different countries working for the academic world (a typical ninth house theme). However I was unhappy with my path, and I am now starting from scratch on a completely new career. I have decided to persuit a life based on new and wider horizons, offering more fullfillment and freedom, while still abroad.

Uranus transiting Mercury and mental revolutions

I am currently having Uranus, Jupiter and Saturn transiting my natal Mercury (and Uranus almost entering third house) - one of main themes in life is "mental revolutions", getting rid of social education, and a flight of ideas on how to reform society, and of course myself too.

Current world events are becoming more intense
The last days, an exact Cardinal Alignment between Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and Pluto has formed. This is an extremely powerful configuration, that is triggering and will trigger massive world changes. Dramatic heatwaves, dramatic flooding worldwide, threats of nuclear war, the oil spill, are just some of the few radical events occurring. We can also remember the last 12 months featuring a global economic meltdown, social revolutions in many countries, much civil unrest, many diplomatic conflicts, some wars and lots of threats in Iran and North Korea or even between Russia, China and the US, huge awareness about nuclear proliferation and climate change, a flu pandemic, huge earthquakes like Haiti and Chile, Obama as a president, the Greece crises, and the Icelandic volcano crises.

Large -scale events are coming
Uranus entry in Aries is always a dramatic period worldwide, mainly after Uranus crosses mid Aries, and that will be after 2014, in a cycle that goes 84 years after important years like 1930, 1846, 1762, 1510, 1342...

This is stuff like the Great Depression and World War II, American and French revolutions and Laki volcanic eruption, 1848 year of revolutions and Irish famine, the Spanish landing in Americas and Luther revolution, the Black Plague: these are very large-scale events!

The cardinal alignment not only trigger massive global change, but also massive change at a personal level, particularly to people with angles or planets in late mutable signs or early cardinal signs.

How will the next years be

The events will just increase in activity and intensity between now until 2014. By then it will apparently that world developments are just about to become a wave of massive world change. The mid decade will be a very energetic and unstable period (Uranus reaches the energetic region of mid Aries, as detailed in previous posts). This is followed by a long and gradual worldwide and massive revolution and transformation during the late 2010s and early 2020s (Pluto transits Aquarius, and Uranus transits Gemini, read former posts). This will be a major world history period!

Using waxing and waning cycles of outer planets to identify the cycles of the collective mood and the intensity of future events
The outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) go through cycles forming between them conjunctions, waxing squares, oppositions, waning squares and conjunctions again. When a cycles is waxing, it induces a positive and constructive mood to the global collective, when the cycles is waning induces a more destructive and depressive mood. From history, periods with almost only waning cycles (around 1343, 1850, 1915, 1939) tends to correlate with massive destructive events such as plagues, famines and world wars. Periods with abundance of waxing cycles (such as after the second world war or between 1990 and 2000) correlate with economic booms, building and expansion and collective optimism.

USING WANING/WAXING CYCLES TO PREDICT GLOBAL OPTIMISM/PESSIMISM:

Millennium optimism shifts now into a decade of major difficulties and challenges

From the graph it is clear that since 2000 the cycles have been turning waning one after the other, and so this is causing an increasingly collective depressive mood. This will continue and a negative peak will occur by 2015-2017 and until 2024, so this might correlate with a rather difficult period for mankind. This might be a great economic depression, famine or war. It will be not as worse as the world wars or the black plague, but it will more challenging than the sixties, or the current global recession. In fact it might be a great depression, at a scale larger than the last one during the thirties, maybe because there will be other dramatic events like a large-scale war, a famine or a significant climate change.

After 2025 a great wave of social adjustments and technological revolution

Afterwards, there will be about 20 years of mostly waxing cycles (2025-2045), bringing a long period of great optimism and economic expansion. This represents a shift in socio-political conditions at least as great as the American and French Revolutions, and a shift in technological advance as big as the industrial revolution! I can foresee, large scale social adjustments, and critical new technologies.

The rest of the century is somewhat so-so, with a smaller crises around 2045-2050, some growth around 2060s, followed by a severe difficult period around 2080 (even bigger than the one during next decade). A second wave of economic and technological expansion occurs during the last two decades of the century, with another crises and shifting point around 2100.

2010 is at the start of this major shifting period: there is no more stability for a while
The last peak of global optimism (all outer planets in waxing, growing, cycles was in 2000). In 2001, Saturn-Pluto opposition turned the wheel into less global optimism, and this occurred further by 2005 and 2006, when Saturn-Neptune formed another opposition. In 2008, another opposition between Saturn-Uranus marked yet another shift into further negativism. In 2010 the cardinal climax marks another shift (Jupiter-Saturn opposition). All these cycles have turned into waning mode, meaning a destructive influence for the next following years. After growth, we need pruning the excesses, the unbalances and the mistakes.

Imagine that the period surrounding the early 2010s is like the period surrounding the early 1930s, the realization that there is a great turning point for the world, the social and economic unrest become more complicated, as well as political tensions mount between countries. This is because there is a major cardinal alignment, similar in both cases, and with identical waning cycles. The shift from several waxing cycles to waning cycles between 2008 and 2011 results in much more global worries, pessimism and deconstruction. To start of, that is a very intense shift. After the cardinal climax effect of 2010, the years 2011 and 2012 will likely be a period of much deeper change, something similar to the shift observed from 2008 to 2009. Probably, the economic crises and the climate shifts will become more extreme.

Global deconstruction and economic depression becomes increasingly obvious between 2011 and 2016
During the years between 2011 and 2016 the unstable Uranus in Aries energies may bring widespread aggressive behavior, revolts, social unrest and an established economic depression, much like during the years between 1932 and 1938. This is in fact dangerous. And just like during the thirties (1935), after 2010, Saturn cycles become all waning, and this is a very negative influence. More outer planets cycles turn waning by then, and Uranus transits late Aries: a very energetic and tensive period. The years 2013, 2014 and 2015 are key years, when events might spiral out of control (hopefully not). There might be massive changes in climate, economy, global and military affairs, and scientific inventions.

However now, despite wars, fears and power struggles, the socio-political revolution will be much more active and less destructive than during the thirties due to the fact that now Uranus-Pluto and Uranus-Neptune are in waxing cycles. Most likely the established sense of a "global world" will not change. The Internet will remain.

Between 2017 and 2024 a major event occurs (major war, famine, pandemic or revolution)
By 2017, like in 1939, the global pessimism hits the LOW with either a major scale war, pandemic, famine or revolution that lasts seven years between 2017-2024, this is because most outer planet cycles are in waning cycles. It might well be a smaller-scale world war, a small-scale nuclear war or a large regional that affects the world. In a positive way, this event will at least bring more positive social revolution, core values will change for the best, and continue to result in a global connected world. Even better, it will regenerate our stagnant societies and corrupted governments/corporations. As the graph above shows, this change will be not as destructive as the second world war, but it will dwarf the sixties.

By 2025, a recovery starts, a new period of global optimism begins, with social revolution, economic expansion and technological advance
By 2020, there is a major development of that situation (like in early 1942, US entry in the war), and global optimism only comes by 2025 (like 1945), when major waxing cycles start again, and point to the end of this massive global change. It's also interesting because mid 2024 and 2025 have Jupiter, Uranus and Mars in Gemini, and Pluto is in Aquarius, all of which are very strong indicators of historical social revolutions (think about American or French revolutions). I also think about alien and technological disclosure as a major key event by then. Revolutions will be centered around 2025, give or take it 3 years. There will be likely economic booms, around the years 2020, 2025 and 2032.

- The first mass-produced electric car Nissan LEAF (in December 2010); another brand Tesla Motors also begin selling their cars on early 2010; Chevrolet Volt will be released by November 2010

And we still haven't seen the promises of nuclear fusion, environmental cleaning, genetic advances, improvements on organic farming, free energy generators, alien disclosure, magnetic levitation trains, etc.

Uranus in Aries and world revolution

Just a few weeks ago, Uranus entered Aries.
It will stay in this sign for the next 7 years.

The global set of affairs will heat a lot, with the revolutionary planet on the sign of independence, willful behavior and self-assertion. This is a time of marked change, irritation, unpredictability and defiance.

Uranus in Aries corresponds historically to a highly-charged period. Those such as the 1930s, 1840s, 1760s, 1680s, 1590s, 1510s, 1430s or 1340s.

These were periods with great revolts, revolutions, national movements, famines and economic unrest. Examples were the American Revolution, the Revolutions of 1848 or the war of Peasants. However, some periods also had a tendency for aggressive nationalism and result in much division within countries and this leads to war, like it happened prior to WWII.
They correspond also to a time of huge personalities that stir movement, independence, revolt and revolution. Gandhi, Hitler, Karl Marx, Georg Washington, Copernicus, Martin Luther, Joan d'Arc are examples.
Finally, this is also a period full of inventions, technological advance and new scientific theories and fields of research. Examples are rocket technology, nuclear energy, distillation of oil, or the steam engine. Radical shifts in scientific models include the theory of Evolution by Darwin or the Heliocentric view by Galileo.
This lively and erratic period also corresponds to times of famines and weather extremes, like the Dust Bowl of the thirties, the Irish famine, the great Russian famine or the Black Plague.

What is highly important is that, at this time, other outer planets are also in cardinal signs, which adds even more intensity. Pluto in Capricorn occurs prior to revolutionary waves across the world. The governmental power and corruption reaches a limit and it breaks down. A dramatic square between Pluto and Uranus occurs between 2012 and 2015. This is expected to be a radical and intense period.

The last time there were squares between Pluto and Uranus were during the late sixties and the thirties, both periods of great social agitation and change. The same applies for the early 2010s. Last time, Pluto was in Capricorn it preceded a period full of revolutions such as the American and the French revolutions, and the start of the Industrial Revolution.

Between 2009 and 2012, Jupiter and Saturn will also form a cardinal T-square with both Uranus and Pluto, which adds intensity and sets many events of change, year after year. And in 2014, Jupiter forms a big cardinal cross with these outer planets. Such powerful astrological configurations are an unbelievable omen of global change!

Uranus and Jupiter entered Aries in June 2010. This is the start of a high level of intensity, similar to the mid thirties or the late sixties. As Uranus progresses into Aries (2012, 2013, 2014...) the energy will increase even higher! These would be the most intense years of change. All sorts of inventions, revolts, revolutions and other big changes will begin to unfold.

The current global crises not only relates to the economy, energy and global security but also to climate change and environmental issues. It looks like everything is on the table, from nuclear weapons to oil, climate change and global economy. Even volcanic activities, an oil leak and the flu pandemic have caused global worries. Our society is not sustainable, and neither are people's behaviors.

A transformation of society, unlike anything seen before, is expected to manifest by the end of this next decade. It will take several years. Hopefully, the impulsive, impatient and often intolerant energies of Uranus in Aries will not cause any great war or dramatic social chaos. These are likely, and so it is our choice to avoid them. On a positive side, because the energies are so extreme, a much needed transformation of our societies will occur, whatever we do. Even ourselves, at a personal level, will go through big changes.

The word is "Revolution". It is the end of a "old world" and the birth of a "new world".

Neptune transiting the Ascendant and the First House

I have now Neptune transiting my first house.

Actually, it's difficult to realize the exact moment that Neptune transits your ASC because it is so slow that its transformation last for some several years.

I can relate to the often described isolation feeling of Neptune when it was finishing its tweltth house transit. Actually it felt it stronger and stronger but as a certain point, I was filled with much idealism, sensitivity, spirituality, poetry, (some depression too), and an inner connection, without realizing. This took me about 4 years. When it was around the ASC I even experimented with psychedelic plants, and did much artistic stuff. Since my ASC is mid Aquarius, I had already Uranus transiting my first house at that time, and both Uranus and Neptune crossing my ASC were moments of much openness to the world, and inner revolutions.

In these last 6 years that Neptune has been transiting my first house, I am filled with great ideals, mostly connected to help mankind or the planet, and I actually do stuff for this. I feel different and unique but that's not a problem for me.For the past 5 years I also felt very confused in my professional direction, so confused. Recently, I finally realized I had to do something meanigful and mainly live in the moment, and stay connected to my inner yearnings. I guess Neptune transiting the first house is all about this. Rediscovering your inner world. Certainly, I discovered a much richer inner world from what I experienced 10 years ago!

It will be an eventful summer.

At a personal level, there will be exciting and unexpected opportunities and shifts!

But don't worry much about it, in fact don't worry. Uranus likes to stir up things, unpredictable events, but this only serves as a trigger for further social consciousness change and progress. Saturn in Libra - the many huge world summits. Trying to solve climate change, economic prosperity and global peace

Saturn in Libra often correlates with international crises and international efforts of diplomacy. Former examples include a major Cold War crises in 1981, the Suez crises in 1956 or the Korean crises in 1952. These were indeed difficult times for global peace.

I have the feeling that this world summit, the biggest in 60 years, is perhaps to discuss what to do if a nuclear war somewhere in the world breaks out. We saw recently huge world summits to discuss the global economy and climate change last year. This is the square between Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Libra, at its best. Huge summits, international agreements, diplomacy. Unfortunately, these world summits have little meaning if they don't result in practical action and, importantly, in bringing forward the correct solutions.

In my own opinion, the world leaders are bringing forward wrong solutions. The economic crises is not solved by bailing out banks that behaved badly. Nor is climate change solved by taxing pollution. Nor can the world get global peace by reducing nuclear stockpiles. This is all WRONG. These are half-measures. The cardinal T-square is a crises of identity, of direction and basic needs.

Economic prosperity needs sustainability and confidence. We cannot afford an economic collapse. We bring forward the idea that caring for the next one is more important than creating profit. The current crises is solved by cutting the evil at its root. Not be increasing dependency. The economic model needs to get rid of the unsustainable practices of "loaning", "interest rates" and "debt". These behaviors only increase dependency. We need to put people first, motivate people to share resources, to create global abundance. We must remember that we are here to be happy, to love, to have fun, not to enslave ourselves and others to profit-making.

Climate change is obviously solved by creating greener policies. We cannot afford catastrophic climate change. Solutions include alternative energy, free energy, ending the oil economy, making new electric cars and planes, and the massive planting of forests worldwide. Our cities must be sustainable. Our environment is our home. We must respect our planet and the other species and their habitats. Our survival depends on our environment. You too can make your own difference.

Global peace is brought by trust, not by demands from the global powers that the other have to reduce their nuclear arms. We cannot afford a nuclear war. Create trust, not war. Distrust does not help! Let each have its own responsibility. Every country must become nuclear-free or at least pledge to create peace. Nuclear residues are a huge problem. Perhaps the wisest thing would be to move to cleaner alternative energies. The United States and Europe must give the example. We must see every other country as our brother.

What we need it's a big change of thinking!

Cardinal action between 2010 and 2015 results in a crises related to many big issues: climate change, economic security and global peace.

Pluto in Capricorn - Crises in Catholic Church, and other institutions

500 years ago, when Pluto was transiting Capricorn, Luther revolted against the Church, resulting in a big crises to that institution, and bringing forward much needed change. 250 years ago, when Pluto was again transiting Capricorn, the American and French Revolutions, created governments which separated from the Church and revolted against the established order (e.g. Monarchy). Currently, the same situation is unfolding as the Church is stuck in a scandal of epic proportions, and refuses to come clean, losing support from the public opinion. The same goes for banks, big corporations, and governments. We had protests in much of Europe, and in many other countries of the world. This is nothing yet. Wait until Uranus squares Pluto by 2014, and when Pluto transits Aquarius by 2028, and you surely can bet that the world will be much more open to revolutionary ideas. The revolutions will be wide and radical.

The second house: what do you choose to value?

Second house represents (as I see it) a manifestation of the new promise (new self) that emerges during the transits on the first house. For example, I have created some new plans for the future when Jupiter were transiting my first house in Aquarius. I was also selected for a volunteer program abroad. Now, as Jupiter moves into the 2nd, I will manifest those ideas into practice. I will begin my travel next month.
This type of pattern also happen as Mars transits through my first and second house. In a way, transits through the second house are a continuation of the transits through the first, but on a more pratical level. Succedent houses play a necessarily supportive role. They're meant to stabilize whatever the angular house has launched. However, this is a "get real" house. We must learn how to use our own resources (talents, money, opportunities, people). Nevertheless, we have to fit our own survival with our original individual purpose. Like Dane Rudhyar said, "nothing is more futile and spiritually empty than having without being, and this is true of all kinds of possessing".

The second house is also what we own and value. In a way, it feels to me, that the second house is taking life with our own hands. We rediscover ourselves in the first house, we claim life to ourselves (and all its resources) in the second house. We are aware of a pratical choice. The first house. Who am I?

The first house is one of the most important houses. Its cusp is what is often called as the Ascendant or the Rising Sign. It's a cardinal house, this is, an house of identity, or new direction. The first house asks us a very simple and important question: "who am I?", "who do I wish to become?", "what can I create new on my life?". There is a greater wish for personal independence, asserting who we are, and what we wish. For this reason, it's also a house of new begginings, a house of a new promise, when there is a transiting planet here. Crises can often happen, when there are outer planets transiting in the first house. There are "endings" and "new begginings" as a planet transits from the twelfth house to the first house. It's a question of identity.

House 1: a new promise is delivered, new begginings, there is a much more of an independent and self-assertive attitude, willing to go forward and take risks. There is a redefinition of the the Self and your approach to life.
House 2: we own very much not only resources such as money, but also our values, our talents, our body and all the "I". the challenge of this house is to learn how to use these resources and manifest them in physical world. This is also a house of relaxing into the moment, of finding inner peace and stability.
House 3: we experiment the limits of ourselves by living on the field of everyday experience, first by trial and error, then by use of our intelligence. Often, it starts with scattered ideas about ourselves, but then the ideas go deeper near the cusp of the following house. We are limited and influenced by our surrounding circunstances and siblings.
House 4: we have experienced much emotions, ideas, traumas, change. We have learnt. Now we are free to choose, to go "home" to the core of our being, where energy radiates perfectly in every direction. There, we seek to find our inner roots, foundations, our house and family, our sense of residence and well-being. Initially, we may feel not good, but then we progress to find inner peace and much insight, a sort of inner revolution.
House 5: here we have the full release of our emotions, and our core being, into self-expression. We seek emotional expression such as drama, pleasure, romance or excitement. The individual can now use the raw energy of what we possesses.
House 6: we became aware of our failures and our crises. We test the utility and functionality of that which we live (be it work, our routie, health or relationships). We seek to perfect ourselves and be more useful. The individual seeks to improve his techniques and to gain a new orientation toward other people and the way of working with other people.
House 7: the field of experience that by being able to relate to others, an individual can reveal and demonstrates his true self in relationship to himself and to others: the basic purpose of existence. We balance ourselves to the expression outwards to the world. We achieve decisions about our direction.
House 8: This is the business of living in the world. For most people, this is a mainly unconscious process. However, it means an intense dig up on human emotions. In the deep interactions with the others, in our social and intimate relationships, there is a struggle to conform to social standards, to biological impulses, and the urge to reform several of those aspects as we confront many darkers aspects of ourselves. In the process, there is death and transformation, the rebirth of the invidivual within the group. In this house, we learn the solve the solution of the problem of living and relating to society and others.
House 9. Expansion is a natural process. The individual has grown to become aware of what he is, his desires, his failures, the required improvements, his relationship in the world and the business of living in the world. He now, becomes a social entity. In this house, we learn the lessons derived from our previous experience of living the business of society. And similarly to third house, we now learn the field of experience of our social environment of many associations. We learn from the ever increasing activity of humans, the variety of human knowledge and cultures.
House 10. As a child, the individual is guided, ruled and provided by his parents. As an adult, the individual is expected to reverse his role and contribute. Our purpose in the light of the society, or family. The lesson here is to balance our compromises and reach our top goals.
House 11. We have recently struggled to achieve. But achievement is a pedestal, how to do next with what happened before (success or failure), is our main challenge. We seek to reform our failures, but either adopting a superior and rebel attitude and facing social isolation, by becoming a revolutionary and a reformer, or by integrating our success with our peers, and local groups. In angular house the invididual comes to experience himself, in succedent houses he meets his greatest tests: the invididual here decides what to do with his own experiences. This is a house of potencial group activity and idealism, social difference or social alienation.
House 12. The achievements are made in tenth house, but here the seed is consummated. The individual here shall bring an end of all things, while filling the space for creative new beginnings! The closing act may bring you with face with some isolation and emotional upheavel as you close a cycle, and confront your past karma and events, but you can also find a closing inner peace and communion with the universe and nature.

Between May and September 2010, in summer, the powerful conjunction of Uranus and Jupiter in early degrees of Aries, is very likely to result in a significant scientific discovery, invention or technology advance. My guess for summer 2010 is either first cold fusion reaction, a big CERN discovery, disclosure of free energy, first quantum computer, first space tourism flight, or some new big advance in the internet concept.

A Uranus/Jupiter opposition in early Capricorn in 1990 correlated with two important advances: the first mobile phones, and in 1991, CERN publicize the new World Wide Web. There were also many eastern protests and revolutions in 1989/1990.

A Uranus/Jupiter conjunction in early Libra in 1969 correlated with the first man of the Moon, and the first version of the internet: the military-based ARPANET. There were also many protests and social unrest in 1968/1969.

A Uranus/Jupiter opposition in early Cancer in 1948 correlated not only with Roswell (1947), but importantly with the first electronic computer, the military ENIAC (1946). The Cold War started also around this time.

A Uranus/Jupiter conjunction in early Aries in 1927, was the time of the first rockets (1926), the first regular TV schedules (1928) and the first transatlantic flight and telephone. Two years later, the stock market crash and the great depression started.

Global crises in 2014-2021. Revolution in 2028

Uranus 84-year cycles are very important to world history, and US history.

There is a clear pattern in the entry of Uranus in Aries, every 84 year cycle, of great socio-economic unrest, scientific advance and revolution: 1930s, 1840s, 1770s, 1690s, 1600s, 1510s, 1430s, 1340s.

As an example, famous people on these decades include Hitler and Gandhi, Thoreau, Karl Marx and Darwin, Newton, Galileo, Copernicus, Luther and Leonardo and Vinci, or Joana d'Arc. And events such as World War II, the Great Depression, the American and French Revolution, the Black Plague, the Industrial Revolution, and the Discovery of the Americas.

Uranus enters Aries in 2010, however the heat of the events only usually occurs during the mid-degrees of the cardinal sign. This occurs next by 2012 to 2014.

Between 2014 and 2021, there will be (very probably) a significant political, social and economic crises, with some civil unrest. This is a period of lawlessness, ideological extremism and the unconventional, of a struggle for a new identity, and during which great sociological and technological advance occurs. Imagine the roaring twenties and the dirty thirties.

Accordingly, to its cycle, this will provoke a revolutionary wave in US and around the world in 2028. This often happens when Uranus transits Gemini. Hopefully, this will be a revolution for the best, for the environment and for human nature.

If the patterns holds, then we will see a continuation of a global crises reaching new levels by 2014 (Uranus in Aries), and a rise of authoritarian tendencies between now and 2021 (Pluto in Capricorn, Uranus in Taurus), after which a strong uprising movement will grow (Pluto in Aquarius). By 2028, the tide turns to the revolutionary and liberating side (Uranus in Gemini).

2007- economic and political instability (global recession)

2028- US and European revolutions

Every 84 years, when Uranus transits 8º to 13º Gemini (the DSC of US national chart), there is a major (military) event in the United States.

1776-1777: USA declares Independency
1861: Start of USA Civil War
1945: USA ends WWII by dropping the atomic bombs
2028-2029: Next major event in the history of USA

Some 10-15 years before that, Uranus squares US natal Sun.
There is an important situation that leads to the major event referred above:

1761-1766: British Stamp Act causes revolt in the colonies
1846-1851: Mexico-American War divides public sentiment
1930-1935: Great Depression; Political extremism in Europe
2013-2018: Major event that leads to civil unrest

And 28 years before, Uranus conjuncts US natal Moon.
We find other important national events:

1749- Benjamim Franklin proposes that the colonies unite (actually 1754)
1833- Indian Removal Act and Abolicionist movements (leads to Civil War)
1917- US enters WWI; Germany collapse; Russian Revolution (leads to WWII)
2001- 911 terrorist attacks

If we go backwards 84 years from the dates of 1945, 1861 and 1777, we still find important events that lead to the formation of the United States of America:

1525: First Spanish colonies (conquest of Aztec Empire). Years before they made first landing.
1609: First British colonies (Jamestown). Years before British defeated the Spanish Armada.
1693: Around the time the Kingdom of Great Britain is formed. Greater union in colonies.

1777: US declares Independency. Stamp Act is the precursor event.
1861: US Civil War. American-Mexico war is the precursor event.
1945: US ends WWII. United Nations. Great Depression is the precursor event.

2029: Formation of a global union? Revolutions/rebels are the precursor event?

Major energy in 2010! Much change!

Today I have been to my workplace and I found nearly everyone depressed or with some major problem.

Two colleagues have accidents this week, one has a major relationship problem, another feels very unsatisfied with her job, still another has a major power struggle with our boss, and another quit. These are all new situations. Is this crazy? No, it's the cardinal T-square.

I am also about to quit, because I will be travelling to two projects abroad, of a radically different nature compared to this job. I took this decision about one month ago. It will be a shocking decision to my work colleagues and my boss, and it will be also a major challenge to my fiancé. Moreover, my father has now a very complicated financial situation, and two of my closest friends, one has a family separation in December, the other her father died last week.

The lives of all of us became with much more change as 2010 started than in the years before!

But it's not only personal changes, also earth changes (the huge earthquake in Chile, the Pacific tsunami, lots of minor earthquakes, even Earth chanhing its axis, two deadly storms in western europe and even the Gulf Stream changed its course). Politically the things are also aggitated. In European Union struggles with the near-bankrupcy of Greece, which could have a major effect in global economy. There was also an attempt military coup in Turkey.

All are manifestations of the huge Saturn-Uranus-Pluto T-square which will continue in the next two years. Pluto has been already in Capricorn since 2008. However, Saturn has recently moved into Libra, and both Uranus and Jupiter are about to enter Aries. This is increasing much the strain to challenge ourselves. Cardinal activity defines as the following questions:

Who am I really? What is my path? Should I change it?
Where is my house? Who is my clan?
With whom I should partner? How should I pair? How do I relate to the world?
What is my job? What is my role in society?Am I being true and honest?

T-square on charts of several countries

2010 looks like a year of major chaos for Greece, and later, likely by 2011, for Iran, Russia and India. The UK will also be under significant strain. And some internal unrest in Japan, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Israel and Egypt (Uranus in 4º Aries).
By 2012, the most difficult change comes to Iran, as well as India, China, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Ukraine and Canada (Uranus in 8º Aries). It is probable that the EU as a union will suffer greatly; either there will be great transformation, or great unrest and dissolution (this is 2012-2014). Some major difficulties will also occur within the EU countries; Germany and UK are particularly affected during the entire next decade.
By 2013, it is an intense climax year, that affects the US, UK, Italy, Australia and many other countries around the world (Uranus in 12º Aries). After 2017, it will be the UK, Australia, Egypt and Israel that will change most significantly.

Major change now that continues in next 7 years:

Greece: Hey, it's a major turning point! Uranus enters now the chart rising, Pluto entered the tenth house and Saturn has entered the descendant: just like we are seeing! Looks like a year of lots of national chaos for Greece, and a battle between a repressive state and internal unrest!
Iceland: Hey, another chart with major transits! Uranus enters now its descendant, Pluto the fourth house, and Saturn the ascendant! On this chart, the change is brought from the outside, from the international scene (Uranus transiting seventh house) while icelanders just try to find solutions to their economic situation.

Change now and in near future:

Portugal: Uranus conjuncts natal Piscean Sun and approaches tenth house, there is major political unrest and there could be sudden or unexpected political turns. But no major revolution is expected. There will be at least some financial trouble. Pluto transiting seventh house, could be linked to increased european pressure over the country situation.
Spain: two charts, on both Neptune has been transiting the first house since 1998. In one chart, Pluto has conjuncted Spain's 26º Sag Moon, and Uranus is now squaring it. On another chart, Pluto has just opposed the 0º Cancer Mars, and Uranus will square it this summer. Looks like temporary unstability, the economic situation could worsen more, and there is also likelyhood of major violence (maybe linked to independence movements of its several regions). This is even more reinforced since Neptune will square Spain's Moon in one chart, in the next 3 years. Nevertheless, the intensity of events does not seem as strong as for other countries.
Russia (3º Cap Sun): currently Neptune square Moon, and under major pressure, more heat will occur in 2011 as Uranus squares Sun, but after that it seem to be a calm decade. However, Russia seems to suffer from international scene, due to its Neptune transiting seventh house (in a similar way to Germany or Iceland charts)
Japan (3º Cap Moon, 9º Ari Venus): some national difficulties in 2011, then some financial trouble in 2013-2014, but overall the country will not change in any dramatic way.

Change to increase much during the years ahead:

Iran: This is another chart showing very strong events coming. Pluto has entered tenth house, and like Greece, there is a battle between internal unrest and a repressive government. Since, Uranus will enter the chart rising in 2011, the country will inflame even more in the next seven years! Watch out for the years ahead, Uranus will conjunct first house Moon (7º Aries): and there could be war or a revolution (this is 2012-2014).
China: the situation looks identical to that of Spain. Neptune has been transiting the first house, as huge dreams transform the country. Watch with care as in the next three years, Uranus will oppose the country natal Sun (7º Libra), which is being squared by Pluto now. There could be, at least, a full situation of national unrest. Watch in 2012-2014.
India: it depends on two charts. In one, there is a major turning point, similar to those of Iceland, Iran or Greece. Rising in 4º Aries is now squared by Pluto and will be transited by Uranus from 2011-2018. This could be a major period of national unrest and difficult complications. Again, in 2013, Uranus opposes natal Mars, which could mean war or major national unrest. The other chart does not show much trouble; Neptune transiting tenth house shows some government confusion, and Uranus square to Mars some unrest, war or violence this summer, but not later. With this chart, there are also several long-lasting changes in the decades ahead, as both Uranus and Pluto aspect many planets in Cancer.

Germany (7º Lib rising, depending on chart): major difficulties starting 2013 onwards, mostly from international events. It could be economics, world situation or also EU-related. The situation does not look better also. An early Libra (0º or 5º) will be soon opposed by Uranus, meaning war, popular unrest or some effort of some kind. Later, not only planets enter angular houses but they aspect heavily the Capricorn Sun (10º or 28º)!
Turkey (7º Can rising), Ukraine (9º Cap rising): major turning point around 2013 and after. Turkey might have government unrest and be under international pressure; Ukraine will probably change a lot in a hidden way, as it chooses to become closer to either Russia or the EU.
US (12º Can sun): major period of dramatic change around 2014; could be war, revolt or big social crises. Even though, this is not anything that has not already started.
Canada (both charts show a major period of change, starting somewhere next mid decade, depending on either a 7º Lib or 16º Ari rising). Probably the US will be a cause of change.
Italy (13º Lib rising, 10º Can sun, 7º Lib Mars): lots of trouble around 2012-2015 and onwards, probably a major change for the country, violence, uprising or some other major event. The country may become bankrupt, have a major revolt, or suffer from independency movements.
Ecuador, independence chart shows that also South America will be signficantly affected by the changes around 2013-2014. Natal Sun is aspected by both Uranus and Pluto, as outer planets transited in the angular houses.
The UK has a long series of hard hitting transits: first Moon in 30º Pisces is currently transited in a big way by Pluto, and in soon by Saturn and Uranus. Then, both Uranus and Pluto will transit the Sun by 2014, and then they will enter the ASC/MC, a major turning point, by 2016. For UK; the change is dramatic and a very long one.

Change most likely in 2017-2025:

Israel: Looks like not that bad. Pluto opposes natal Venus, pointing to some financial trouble, and Neptune squares natal Mars, which can mean a draining war somewhere in 2010-2012. However, there is no major indication of big change, except after 2018, when Uranus enters seventh house and Pluto in fourth house, then there will be major national strain caused by international relationships and surrounding neighbours.
Australia: in one chart, Neptune conjuncts Venus, which means some financial difficulties. More change comes after 2014, as Pluto and Uranus square both natal Sun, or natal Mars (in another alternative chart). Then, later, it looks like another major shift, and Uranus also enters the rising (in one chart later on the decade)
Egypt (27º Gem Sun, 3º Can Mars): could be some major difficulties related to violence in the next 3 years, but then it is a stable decade, after 2017 however it starts a major unstable period of change (which will affect probably indirectly Israel and the middle east)
